If there are any Twitter users here, check out the delightful Mark Saggers from TalkSport. He is lambasting you guys for signing a foreign manager over a British one. He even offers some names that would be better appointments, including Karl Robinson and Luton manager Nathan Jones.

This kind of rhetoric is just embarrassing isn't it really. Thankfully I don't listen to that station.

No doubt he'll accept Everton 'going foreign' and has absolutely no problem with the top 4 not having a British manager for God knows how long.

That doesn't answer the question - why? Have you any reasons to justify your view?

Has been described as boring dull uninspiring and that’s just his interviews

he played negative football, doesn’t work with Leicester we need to attack teams, best form of defence, more entertaining and with the players we have more chance of winning etc etc

they are some of the reasons but at the end of the day it is my opinion and that’s all it is

as I have stated on further posts I also have said I will back him and cheer him to the rafters if he is appointed

but that wont stop me being desperately dissapointed

does that satisfy your quest for answers bud?

People have been doing that on Twitter. He takes some exception to when people do.

No, no...Foreign is the way to go - WATFORD the perfect example (at least one new manager a season and doesn't matter if cannot speak English - Mazzari).

Yes, thanks.

I can only repeat other posters who point out that his reputation for turgid play stems only from his single season at Southampton and that could be explained by the poor quality of players at his disposal, esp given injury problems. Previous to that he appeared to employ an attacking approach, and stats provided earlier on here show that even during that boring run of games Southampton created lots of chances but simply didn't have good enough forwards to put the chances away.

I do take your point about the boring interviews and wondering whether he could inspire his players, but even then a manager's persona with the press can be totally different from his interaction with his players (Pearson is a prime example).

I am hopeful that his reputation for developing players, especially the youngsters, will serve us well.

For me the jury is out but, on balance, I am guardedly optimistic that it will work out well for us.

I hope you are right re you being optimistic

like i say as a Leicester City fan I will always support whoever is in charge and plays for us etc

just not as convinced and personally wanted us to go for an up and coming Manager and give him 2/3 seasons to build a team etc etc

we will see though.

I would prefer Dyche personally Lancy bud

that said I’ve always described him as a ginger haired gravel voiced failed 70s porn star. What’s your honest opinion of Dyche bud?

Dyche best Burnley manager since the Harry Potts "glory days" of the early 60s when Spurs and Burnley were the top 2 teams in England.

But if you like exciting, attacking football, Sean is NOT your man.

Couldn't give a hoot about style of football, as long as I see 100% effort, passion and commitment from each and every player I'm happy.

A bit? :D

Yeah - braced to be ridiculed but after the Leeds game it was quite apparent the array of strike force on the pitch and I decided to get carried away.... the holes in our squad are gapingly obvious though - we don't have wing backs (we have Albrighton and Chilwell) which means other formations that don't involve wingers such as Mahrez/Albrighton/Gray are not really an option for us (Including 433) If Silva were available I wonder if partnered with Iborra it'd be a perfect option in a 442 but without the width we tend to look awful....
