Ha ha ha... what the actual.

This is the sort of shit that happens when business people and not football people are running things.

I'd be appalled if our club tried any shit like this.

They've consulted 10000 people....... but have completely ignored them, and gone with the committee's original choice.

"Looks like a gay fisting emblem."

"Its like an allies team badge from an episode of the hurricanes."

"It's like someone did it on PES or some shit"

"It's like they've gone to a freelancer website that does logos for a fiver and picked one of the six offered."

"Tinpot United."

"All this over the top “Leeds salute chest pump” done on every single bit of media produced by the club is bad enough, but to incorporate it into a badge??? WTF are these retards thinking?"

"IT REMINDS ME OF SOMETHING FROM A 1950S BOYS COMIC."

"Even managed to get the salute with the wrong arm."

"How we all laughed at hull tigers."

"Looks like a builders company logo. Checker trade, checker trade dot com. **** off."

"Doesn't even say 'FC' or 'football club'. Just noticed that. lol"

"Does look a bit white supremacist anyway tbf"

"Someone on Twitter has just likened it to a Nazi salute. They have a point."

Angus Kinnear, Leeds United Managing Director, said:

“In the past year we have worked very hard as a club to re-engage fans and the wider community across Leeds. We have seen season ticket sales soar and gates have regularly exceeded 32,000 at Elland Road – we are very grateful for the loyal and unwavering support we have received.

“Once we heard that there was a desire for change to help herald a new era for club, it became of primary importance that the new crest clearly reflected who we are. Everybody knows how proud and passionate the Leeds United fans are, but since I arrived at the club, I have been in awe at the unique connection between the fans and the team.

“Updating the crest is not a decision we have taken lightly, but we are proud to have a new crest that is authentic to Leeds United and honours the quality and loyalty of our fans. It is a symbol of ‘strength in unity’ and a proud expression of the club’s identity and history.”

How did they "hear" about this "desire for change"? Who had a say in it?

The new crest is "authentic" to Leeds United? lol

The new crest does indeed reflect who Leeds United are - or rather, what they've become. A laughing stock.

If Leeds United don't reconsider, they'll soon face hundreds, thousands of opposition fans giving Leeds United supporters the false LUFC salute (right arm across the chest). lol

This marketing ploy has gone pear-shaped so quickly, imagine the graphic designer/agency and LUFC's media team trying to keep up with the negative responses. :crylaugh:
