For those of us who live nearby Park Hill, we got a flyer through the door yesterday, saying they're having two open days, one in Sileby, the other Seagrave so fans, residents etc can view this, I guess it will be the same as the one at the ground.

Does it say when & where they're having these? I'm in Rearsby and haven't had one.

King Power Stadium To Host Public Consultations For New Training Facility

Leicester City supporters will have an opportunity to learn more about the Club’s proposed new state-of-the-art training facility in Charnwood at King Power Stadium on Saturday 3 March, 2018.

Flag waving at King Power Stadium

- Leicester City confirm a date for public consultation over plans for a new training facility
- Plans for a new state-of-the-art facility in Charnwood were announced by the Club last month
- A consultation will take place between 10am and 3pm at King Power Stadium on Saturday 3 March
- Representatives from LCFC, Deloitte and KSS Design Group will be in attendance to discuss plans with the Leicester community

Ahead of the Premier League fixture against Bournemouth, representatives from the Football Club, project managers Deloitte and architects KSS Design Group will host an exhibition and discussion of site plans and strategy for the new facility – described by Vice-Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha as a ‘once in a generation opportunity’.

The views of Foxes fans are vital to the success of the project, with all members of the Leicester community invited to attend the exhibition outside the City Fanstore between 10am and 3pm. Along with the exhibition, there will be opportunities to ask questions about the Club’s plans for the site, which was previously occupied by Park Hill Golf Club and is a key element in King Power International’s long-term vision for the Football Club.

The informal consultation environment aims to provide supporters, residents and businesses with an opportunity to learn about and discuss the plans in as much detail as possible. The Club will also be reaching out to local people as it seeks to put its community at the heart of a project to provide Leicestershire with both a world-class sporting environment and community programmes to rival the best in the country.

In addition to the discussions at King Power Stadium, a questionnaire will also be available on tablet devices to complete on-site. Season Ticket Holders and Members will also be contacted directly to contribute their views on the Club’s plans.

Supporters will find the exhibition on the stadium site, directly outside the City Fanstore, open from 10am until 3pm.

Can't see this happening now.

The land is worth £10m apparently. Nothing to the club, heard they may consider keeping the land just to put some offices for the club.

Leicester City own the land up to the dome . YMCA own the rest renting it out .

There is a limit to how high the buildings can be in respect to the houses already there so offices is not an option IMO .

I should've put the dates on, Sileby's was last night as Beechey said and I totally forgot to walk down, might've been the beer and cold weather that affected it. :)

I think it would just be the two villages close by that would get the flyer, as above Seagraves is still to be put on.

Is there likely to be local opposition to this ??

I doubt it, Park Hill was out of the village anyway, a few disgruntled golfers who were members might kick up, but other than that who can oppose? It doesn't affect anyone really as they'll turn right out of the gates and head to the A46.

Yes quite.Local opposition including you neighbour not liking what you want carries very little weight these days.

Charnwood will wave this through on the back of LCFC spending a shed load on consultants,This will be a top class presentation and the planners will be fawning at it.

Don't forget Charnwood has Lboro Uni and all that sport infrastructure.

If approved the golf course surrounds the complex . the 1st team are separate from the academy ,  driving down the horseshoe and turning right . U18's pitch is that side too . U 23s games  will still play at Holmes park . the floodlit pitches will be amazing and you can see the dome (indoor) is massive . swimming pool , gym, cryo chamber , sports science etc etc etc etc in the 3 storey main building . Main building will be entered on the 2nd floor at the front ,that drops out onto the training pitches from the 1st floor  . All in all AMAZING if planning approved ????   !!
