How was Nacho's effort in the second half not on target?

I can't remember exactly what happened but the first one was blocked wasn't it? Blocked shots aren't counted as on target by Opta.

So so disappointing. Everton were there for the taking and on a wet horrible night we play James Gray and Chilwell. Three players who go missing in a scrap and decision making is generally poor.

Lost game in the selection, not playing your creative midfielders is nearly always gonna end in tears. Felt sorry for Ndidi, he'll be asking for a transfer. If he keeps getting paired with James.

Play our quality, effective players, don't give away points just to prove you give young, not so good players a chance.

Had a feeling it might go this way. If the Mahrez situation hadn't occurred (and he'd been available) it probably would've been an improvement but we are liable to throw one of these in.

Need to get back on track on Saturday, no excuses for that one.

Hard to know where to start to unpick that one really. For whatever reason the midfield were all over the place today and things just broke down from there. It was the Crystal Palace match all over again. But we bounced back from that and I am confident we will again on Saturday. Looking for positives at least Burnley only got a point when they realistically could have hoped for three - they play Man City next and Everton play Arsenal, so good chance to pull ahead a bit in 7th place.

We need a striker, there's an hour to go, let's get on the phone to Carlos Kick-a-Ball and see if wants to join us. We've pushed Ulloa, Musa and nearly got Slimani out the door so come on let's see someone come in and make sure we're not 14 seconds behind the deadline!!!

What tonight's result has also showed is that we do need both a proper left-back and right-back in the summer.

Chilwell's not endearing himself with his erratic on-the-pitch demeanor (although he may come good with age), and after THAT throw-in and seeing him as a substitute trying to chase after Coleman who was clearly tired, Fuchs is past it (NFL or MLS are calling soon).

Amartey's done surprisingly well on the right, but I'd rather have him in central midfield as backup. And we can't rely on Simpson all the time.

Going to miss Fuchs. But you are right sadly.

Anyone fathom an idea as to why Silva didn't start? What does he have to do ?

He played Saturday so maybe Puel don't want to force him with his lack of real game time up till now. I hope he plays against Swansea though we need  his creativity assuming Riyadh is allowed to "rot" or has thrown out the dummy.

I think it can be summed up by in the 90th minute, Seamus Cloeman (who's been injured for many months) running past Fuchs (who's been on the pitch for 10 minutes).

Would be funny if it wasn't true. We've got one LB who makes Walcott look like Messi and another whose legs have gone after 10mins. Threw another 3 pts away just like Palace and Watford.
