Really like this dude! He looks so lively and constantly makes good decisions on the ball, which is hugely impressive for someone his age and experience.

People questioning his confidence, but to do that touch in the game does not strike me as someone who is short of any!

Looking more and more like a starter for next season and certainly ahead of Gray. I still think we will need a big signing to replace Mahrez, or maybe even two, but there's no doubt that we have unearthed another possible gem with Diabate,

With a full pre-season behind him he'll be so much stronger and better next season. He's only learning the pro game but has all the basic requirements for a great career with us.

Purl deserves great credit for finding and signing him.

Agree.... we can thank puel by offering a lift to the job centre

Now Diabate has done exactly what a fringe player should do if they want  first team football.  YOU EARN IT.  You take your opportunity and You play yourself into the side. That’s how it’s done.

you don’t sit there on the bench looking like you are chewing a wasp and think your ego and reputation should get you picked,  you put the work in and show everyone what you’ve got.

fair play to him.

He's had consistently decent-to-good performances this season since he came in, not too dissimilar from Mahrez's appearances in the Championship. It will take a full season to actually confirm if he can make the step up but the early signs are promising.

Raw, has lots of promise, but needs to improve his decision making and final ball.

However,1 assist in 13 apps is hardly earth shattering.

It will be interesting to see who develops more over the next 12 months him or Gray.

Proper baller this lad.  Genuinely think he has potentially got what it takes to fill our beloved brother Mahrez's boots if/when he leaves us.

Lets hope its not next season, because If we are relying on him and Gray to replace Mahrez we are in big trouble.

At the rate Gray has been developing with us, I'd say Diabate by a mile but I am still optimistic Gray will have a breakthrough soon. Still only 21 and in and out the team (his own fault). More to come from him I hope

Didn't it take Gray over 2 years to get an assist? By his standards, he's on bloody fire.
