Butland/fabianski, Trippier (if spurs sign a new rb), Sessegnon (never happen but would be willing for us to spend big on him), Evans (cheap and experienced), mawson, Allen, a top number 10 but can't think of any off top of my head. If mahrez goes then obviously we need a replacement and many have mentioned shaquiri who might be a decent option but he seems very inconsistent to me. Would all depend on how much stoke want for him. Still think we need a big option up front as well but Puel doesn't seem to go for this.

Basically we need 6 or 7 players if we are to improve on this season.

Vydra, Shaqiri and Evans for £23m would be very decent if you believe what the papers say on their release clauses. Free up a lot of money to spend on other positions while giving us back up to Vardy and two starters.

I always liked Vydra but do we need him?

I don’t think Okazaki will be sold so we’ll have Vardy, iheanacho, Okazaki and probably Barnes or a new number 10.

I'd say we could do with him if we sold Okazaki as well, then we have iheanacho and vydra who can play the no.9/10 role if in cup games or vardy is injured

To be fair, if it were as easy as that I would be pleased with pretty much all of those apart from that, personally, I would keep Gray.  Always really like Phillips.  X

One of the most realistic assessment of player values ive seen, just a shame it can't ever go as perfect as that!

Haha yep, unfortunately this won’t be as easy as a transfer window on Footy Manager! Would be happy if half of it came off if I’m honest.

If only it were.  I have long been an advocate of the Champ Manager 01/02 method of pre season which is to release all of one's best players on free transfers on a whim and then sign a load of 16 year old Swedes with 19 at jumping.  X

Diabate

Albrighton

Shaqiri (15m?)

Roberts (part xchange)

NO10:

Okazaki

Ihneacho

NO9:

Vardy

Sturridge (free)

Spent £108m

Get what we can for......

Hamer (free)

Huth (free)

Fuchs (free)

Morgan (£3m?)

Amartey (£5m?)

Mendy (£5m?)

King (£4m?)

Kaputska (£5m)

James (£2m)

I've  tried to keep the signings somewhat realistic in terms of personal and price (Sturridge is a stretch,I realise)

And I've tried to be realistic in the price we could get.

I realise this is NOT going to happen but this would be my perfect window....

I just think these ambitious squad shake ups of 7-8 guys going out, 7-8 coming in are FM fantasy and not going to remotely happen. I expect 3-4 in max, 5-6 out.

You could be right but I hope you're wrong. If that where the case. We would prob finish around 9th, just like this season.

Well we will probably have at least 6 out with Huth, Hamer, Benalouane, King, Ulloa and Musa (plus Slimani if he leaves, which looks likely), next season we will definitely be losing Okazaki, Simpson, Morgan and Fuchs as well (plus Benalouane if he's still here, which does not looks remotely likely), so cashing in on any of them is a possibility.

Don't think we'll have loads of incoming. Can see a GK (maybe), RB (definitely), CB (definitely), RM (definitely) and striker (likely) coming in.

Imagine if we took a punt on Sturridge and he stayed fit. Would be amazing

We could just wrap him in bubblewrap between cup games and then let him fly

I know Southampton staved off relegation, largely down to that massive 0-1 away win at Swansea, but I'd be sorely tempted to make an approach for Ryan Bertrand. Think he's a really classy player.

From the player's perspective, having had an okay season in a struggling side and missing the cut for the World Cup, he could be open to a move up the table. There are a couple clubs, such as ourselves, who would be the next rung up the ladder. He'd likely have some interest from above us as well but guaranteed first team football and pushing for Europe in a squad amongst a number of current England internationals might tempt him.
