This can still be true whether there's loads of hype or not.

For their fans, they must be loving it and they do play good football. They're a very well-drilled, well-organised side and have some very good players. Yeah they may be talked about a lot because of the Portuguese influence, the Jorge Mendes connection and the amount of money spent, but that's what football is these days. It's not like they're being hyped to the point where they are being labelled the greatest PL team but end up being like a Sunderland. There's some justification for the Wolves love-in. I'd rather have them in the league than the likes of Huddersfield who are boring as fvck.

Also, you can't really use 'knocked them out of the (League) cup' when they have reached an FA Cup Semi-Final and earnt a trip to Wembley which is something we've craved for ages. Yeah we knocked them out the League Cup but I'd bet we would love to be in their position (in the respective cups) so hardly a stick to beat them with.

Where did I say that it wasn’t? Strange point to make

Yeah but we're recent Champions of England and they're a newly promoted team. They have different expectations.

Not if you listen to some of the tripe coming from their fan base. Think they’re absolutely massive

Just that you said getting hype is ridiculous and then followed that with 'having their best season for years and years' as if that was part of the 'hype'.

Again strong words from Danny Rose aying he has had enough of the game and its attitude towards racism.

Could he really walk away?

Honestly, the fact in 2019 that we still have a huge issue with racism is bloody incredible to me. We are close to bloody landing on the next planet along from us and so many other incredible things, yet people still can't accept those of different ethnicities.

But back to your point, it wouldn't surprise me if he did.

If they are better than us (Wolves) why aren’t the ‘big’ teams picking over their players ?

Probably the fact that our players who have been linked away/moved to bigger clubs have either been a.) young, talented English players with lots of years ahead of them and high resale value (Maguire and Chilwell) or b.) genuine standout players who have proven that they are outstanding in the Premier League  (Vardy, Mahrez, Kante) - Wolves have fewer who fall into either of those categories but have a very well coached team with a few very good older players and imo operate better than the sum of their parts.

No I meant that if you purely listen to their own fans and a large majority of other football fans, you would think they’re a regular top 4 side. They’re having a great season but nowhere near where they think they’re at.

We're a better side than Wolves imo. Player for player there's not really anyone I'd wanna swap with them

I’d say they have 3 maybe 4 players who would get into our team. Neves, Jota, Patricio and Jimenez are all great players who would improve us

I'd take Kasper over Patricio but yeah the other 3 are good players. Wouldn't swap Vardy for Jimenez though.

I love Vardy to bits but he's 32, completely objectively I'd have Jimenez over him but heart rules over my head on this one

Dont get me wrong I do not condone this. But he would never have kicked a ball in the 70/80's if he can't handle this now.

It was so common then it never got a mention but every game had nigger chants monkey chants and national front songs.

As I said I don't condone it but in comparison it's a none event now. What ever they do some pissed up idiots will make some comment. Clubs and the police respond to it now in the past nothing happened.

Shocking isn't it. Other countries, especially in the old Eastern Block are much worse than us.

I don't think he will walk away. He can't afford to

"Obviously it is sad that I had to prepare for that, but when countries only get fined what I probably spend on a night out in London then what do you expect? "

Don't know about you but a night out in London for me might be a trip to the theatre at the lowest ticket price possible.

Danny Rose seems a very conflicted young man, with more issues than just racism.

Racism is a cancer in the game that need to be removed, however it's not a problem of the game it's a social issue.

Remove it from society and it's removed from the game.

Education, is far more powerful than punishment.

@The Bear, I actually like Wolves style and can't say I dislike them... but man, how is it possible that Wolves' agent fees are on par with Huddersfield & Southampton?

I mean, this is "in" list of Wolves

And this is "in" list for Southampton...

There is absolutely no way their agent got anything in the compensation package in the Patricio deal.

They do use the same agent for most of their main transfers.  Neves and Moutinho most likely the only names people have heard of which would command big agents fees at a guess. And Jimenez  just being made permanent now from his loan and so that agents fee would not be included in the list.  They have had some brilliant signings since the deal with mendes.

Agreed, if we don't sign Tielemans, then Neves would be ideal and be better than our current options. Other than Neves no one from there starting II, I would take over ours.

Wayne Hennessey cleared of making Nazi salute at Crystal Palace team-mate

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey has been cleared by the FA over an alleged Nazi salute at Max Meyer

Wayne Hennessey has been cleared of making a Nazi salute at his German team mate Max Meyer.

Crystal Palace keeper Hennessey was charged with improper conduct by the Football Association after being pictured making the gesture during a team night out.

Hennessey claimed it was an innocent mistake, that he was covering his mouth while signalling to someone at the other side of the room and it was (absolutely coincidental.”

The FA have now announced that he has been cleared by an Independent Regulatory Commission.

The FA statement read:

“It was alleged that a gesture he made, which was captured by a photograph and posted on social media, was abusive and/or insulting and/or improper and/or brought the game into disrepute, contrary to FA Rule E3(1).

“It was further alleged that this constituted an ‘aggravated breach’, which is defined in FA Rule E3(2), as it included reference to ethnic origin and/or race and/or religion and/or belief.

“The Crystal Palace goalkeeper had denied the charge and requested a personal hearing.”

The former Wolves goalkeeper has made 18 Premier League appearances for Palace this season, conceding 26 goals and keeping five clean sheets.

But he has started just one game since being forced off at half-time with an injury against Watford on January 12.

Victor Guaita has emerged as their No.1 leaving Hennessey fighting to recapture his starting spot.

Points between teams outside of the top 6. I'm quite surprised we are so high as I feel like we've struggled quite badly with two losses two Palace and losses to Southampton and Cardiff.
