It’s a forum mostly based on opinions.

He seems pretty content at Spurs don’t you think? Just signed a big deal with them. I don’t see them winning any of the big trophies, maybe a league or FA Cup

If he did go to the clubs you mentioned of course he’d win things but I get the feeling he likes his ‘billy big bollocks’ status at Spurs

To go along with his status of the ugliest c**t alive!

maybe but he is still only 24...could easily move to a bigger club at 27/28 and win absolutley everything. At international level he is very unlikely to win anything though I agree there.

28 by the next World Cup! What’s he going to like when his pace has gone.

Reminds me of the situation with Paul Scholes when playing for England. One of the best players in his position out there, arguably better than Gerrard and Lampard. Yet Sven didn't know how to use him, sticking him LM at times which was utterly ineffective.

Wasn't getting anything out of it so retired from international football to prolong his club career. His United record speaks for himself.

It's a shame Vardy doesn't get the recognition and gametime he deserves. But it's clear Southgate (and Hodgson before) just can't get the best out of him in and England shirt and will never change. About time he ditched them too and continue to break records for Leicester in years to come where he is adored.

Feel sorry for vardy this World Cup. Sterling I’m not sure on how I feel on him, he should score more for England than he does but wasn’t the worst out of Him Ali or lingard for me. Vardy would have caused all sort of problems if he was given a proper chance in this tournament. Doubt he will go to the euros now tho as they seem to prefer youth to players that can actually make a difference. Hopefully comes back determined to prove that they were wrong to leave him out by scoring 40 goals and winning the golden boot whilst we win the fa cup and the league ? not much to ask for really x

Reckon if Vardy played the whole Croatia game, against their slow and sometimes vulnerable defence, we would've won it imo.

What a waste, with a very quick and powerful player overlooked.

Watching England with the same average tested players playing over those that are as equally or have more quality - is very annoying and frustrating.

It's as if the national team are reluctant to change and keep up with the times.

How Vardy was left out of the team was unbelieveable.

20+ goals this season and scored against all the Top 6 clubs. But yes didn't England do brilliantly and isn't Southgate a wonderful man?

Maybe he wasn't fully fit.

He didn't take that last pen v Colombia because his groin was fvcked so maybe he hadn't fully recovered from that.

Yeah, massive rebuild. Southgate loves these guys, they aren't going anywhere. It'll be Rose in for Young and the Ox back to start in midfield. That'll be it.

Maybe rebuild was the wrong word, but you get the point. Vardy, Young, Cahill, Delph etc. will not feature for the next 2 years, he'll bring in the best from the U18's, 20's and 21's.

Maddison,  Chilwell, Barnes..

Doubt Gray will make the grade!

Bit worried that if Puel continues with the sort of boring side to side and backwards play that characterised England for large parts of their performances, Vardy might become as isolated as he was when getting his minutes.

He was isolated for the majority of 2018.

Yeah, sorry about that.

What I meant to say is that Southgate obviously hates Vardy because he plays for Leicester and he's clearly been instructed by the FA to only pick players from big clubs etc, etc...

Think Lookman will get in the squad, Silva seems very keen on him so should get a lot of game time at Everton

Southgate is just another yes man for the fa and there’s been many many of them down the years. Tactically inept.

Also never took a playmaker to the World Cup and didn’t pick any wingers for the games. Played Sterling when he’s not scored for around 3 years and couldn’t see that young was struggling against Croatia. Very tactically inept

Who would you have taken?

We played wing backs every game

The only playmakers we have are Wiltshire and Shelby, should of taken one of them. We had wingbacks but can only remember Trippier being the only one to cross the ball. Think in the Croatia game we had one cross from open play

which is why he is inept, as he couldn’t change the system when we needed to
