As much as I love Vardy, I dont think his leadership on the pitch is that great, hes very rarely telling other players what to do

The armband itself is just a formality. There will be several vocal players on the pitch. If you look carefully during the game, you'll see most players shouting to other players telling them what to do. Schmeichel, Morgan, Maguire, Fuchs, Mahrez, Silva, Iborra, Vardy and probably more that I've missed out have had the armband at some point in their career so they all have leadership qualities.

I think Puel will give it Vardy. He's hinted at it before. Vardy's the one figure that the other players will happily ditch Morgan for - and then without the captaincy Morgan will finally be benchable. And then Vardy will support Puel against an increasingly hostile environment.

I expect every player to be leading the side. They're professionals.

Lets make this clear. If this club has any ambition to improve on this season, Morgan must not be the 1st or 2nd name on the team sheet. He should considered a fall back.

Why on earth would that stop any club from wanting to buy him, in any way whatsoever ?

 

And I'm sure he wouldn't give a toss about whether he was captain or not, if a top side came in for him - if Man City wanted him, he'd be off in a heartbeat

Same, Vardy spends a lot of his time looking toward goal and focusing on making sure he's onside and on the last man to get an advantage. Goalkeeper is pretty much stuck in his box. Defenders can be anywhere on the pitch relative to where the ball is and where their position is, it's far more free and they can see everything infront of them. Midfielders have to have eyes in the back of their head.

Come on own up, which idiots have voted for Morgan? And who the hell voted for shinji ?. And 2 people voted for Chilwell. Maguire captain for me and Vardy vc. Other than Ndidi, these 2 are the only current members of our squad I think we can say will definitely start next season providing they are not injured or sold. I'd say every other position is up for grabs, including Kaspers.
