Big Banter Ben Departs....

Recommended Posts

He's nowhere near as shit as people make out. First season we were back in the Premier League he filled in well for injured Schmeichel and commanded the area better than him. Iffy distribution and liable to the odd horror match but a decent shotstopper and fine as a backup in this league. Best of luck Ben, may you never shave

All the best at the Huddersfield, Ben!

Being goalkeeper No. 2 or No. 3 is both a blessing and a curse, especially at a Premier League club.

Hardly a chance of playing, in particular with Lössl ahead of him. Maybe the odd cup appearance here and there.

Financial stability, what could you ask for more?

As for the loss in banter, have no fear. We still have Vardy and Fuchs, plus Okazaki.:scarf:

I'm sorry Huddersfield but you have been mugged off big time lol he's so shit

Comes on a free. Won‘t challenge Lössl for the No.1 spot. Has Premier League experience.

Far from being a bad deal.

Best of luck to him. I liked him when he replaced Kasper for a bit and was unnecessarily dropped for Schwarzer.

About time we got a new number one now.

Done alright for us. Has always done a decent job when hes stepped. Made some huge saves for us in the past.

Gutted to see him go. He's another that's fantastic in the dressing room. You'll see next season why Ben was further up the order than Jaki.

lol For any Huddersfield fans reading, it's because he likes to trade banter with his fellow players in the dressing room and on social media. The other players call him the 'carb monster', for what it's worth. I don't really know if he's any good or not with how little he's played. All 3 of our keepers let in 5 goals in a single game this past season. Porto we were playing kids against men. Seemed to do okay for the U23s anyway.

So they pay a signing fee to him and 3 years wadges even though he isn't good enough for the top flight, top deal lol

Hardly a bad deal some are trying to make it out to be.

Will be on a much smaller salary than Lössl, that‘s for sure.

Plus helps with the homegrown quota.

Ben Hamer Joins Huddersfield Town

Goalkeeper Ben Hamer has joined Huddersfield Town on a free transfer after his contract with Leicester City Football Club came to an end.

- Ben Hamer has signed for Premier League side Huddersfield Town
- The goalkeeper joins the Terriers on a free transfer after his contract with Leicester City expired
- Hamer joined City in 2014 and represented the Club 20 times in all competitions

The 30-year-old shot stopper joined the Foxes after a three-year spell with Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2014 and went on to make his Premier League debut for the Club in a 1-0 away win at Stoke City.

In total, Hamer made 20 appearances in Leicester City colours and leaves with the best wishes of everybody at the Football Club for his future career with Huddersfield Town.
