KANTE,DRINKY AND MAHREZ

Recommended Posts

Am i right in thinking the sale of just those 3 players alone has yielded a profit of near on 120 million quid which is insane tbh

kante      in 5.6m     out 35m

drinky     in  1m       out 30m

mahrez   in 400k     out 60m

cant think of to many clubs who have made such a profit from 3 players within a short period of time

Southampton are the only club off the top of my head that've managed similar albeit over more players and a more staggered period:

Shaw : 0 - £30 million

Lallana : 0 - £26 million

Mane : £11.8 million - £34 million

Van Dijk : £13 million - £75 million

We were ripped off for Kante, Chelsea were ripped off for Drinkwater.

They weren't particularly ripped off for Drinkwater (nowhere near as much as we were with Kante anyway), they've just wasted him.

Yeah the Kante price was low but mainly down to things outside our control. Chelsea signing Drinkwater for £35m when they had Chalobah and RLC was a strange one.

schneidalin - £0m - £30 odd million.

lambert - £0m - £10m

Yes, it definitely balanced out the Kante deal.

I just hope we have a sell on clause in the Mahrez deal as I'm sure he'll end up at Real or Barca one day.

What about a Kante sell on clause did he have one when we sold him chelsea

125m

Liverpool got more for an 8 stone Brazilian who isn’t fit to lace Mahrez boots !!!

We are the worst traders on planet

We committed daylight robbery with that Drinkwater deal

Can't believe what they paid for him and they let Chalobah go for £5 million and loan out Loftus Cheek.

We were never in control of that situation. Kante never wanted to come here being a Chelsea fan. So we agreed to the get out clause to get him here.

The Mahrez situation is  completely different, he was on a 5 year contract and city wanted him. We should have and maybe we did insist on a sell on clause.

He's probably not all that or yesterday's man.

He really failed at Everton and probably dines out on his Leicester successes, you're only as good as your last fight so they say.
