Pretty open to what goes on it as long as there's not too much. I really dislike the current trend of stacking a burger so high it's impossible to eat. If you can't eat it like a burger, it's not a burger!

Valid point, and if you're stacking a few things on there (or are simply adding things that are liable to a bit of slippage) you absolutely have to go for a bun that actually encompasses the whole lot, those dinky brioche things where the burger sticks out are nice but they only work for specific recipes like bacon and cheese, mushrooms or onions are wasted in such a scenario.

Good thread idea should do pizza toppings next followed by jacket potato toppings, maybe close the year out with favourite sandwich filling?

 

Anyway burger wise it would prob be cheese lettuce onion and loads of spicy things, I’d make a burger sauce with ketchup mayo American mustard smoked paprika Worcestershire sauce and loads of chilli flakes. Bun needs to be good as that makes a decent burger.

I'm not normally a fan of blue cheese but I've had stilton sauce with a steak before now and it wasn't bad. When I saw a blue cheese burger on holiday I thought I'd try it. It was fecking awful.
