Jacafox Posted 27 October 2018 Share Posted 27 October 2018 I thought he had a good game tonight, he has been improving this season, give Puel credit for that. Hope he is not out for too long.

Jesus christ. That made me physically recoil. I don't know which is worse, whether it's a broken lower leg or a dislocated/broken ankle - legs tend to heal, but I remember a broken ankle was what finished Dean Ashton's career - funny joints, ankles.

LCCFox96 Posted 27 October 2018 Share Posted 27 October 2018 Horrible injury for a young, hard working player who was beginning to really find some form at the club this season. Wish him all the best for a speedy recovery. Get well soon Danny!
Popular Post Blue100 Posted 27 October 2018 Popular Post Share Posted 27 October 2018 Manchester City fan here A sad day for LFC and I hoped I'd just be here saying this due to this terrible injury to Daniel Amartey, then we see the news and the devastating helicopter crash. What an awful day for one football club. Speedy recovery, Daniel. 22

UPinCarolina Posted 28 October 2018 Share Posted 28 October 2018 Seen a few injuries like that as an American football player / coach. The players weren’t the same after their recoveries. I hope he is the exception to what seems to be the rule.
stillwater Posted 28 October 2018 Share Posted 28 October 2018 What a crap day, Danny has an horrendous Injury, the Nobheads start fighting in and out of the ground and then worst of all the helicopter crash, words cannot say how I feel about the club I live at this time, FNQ
WigstonWanderer Posted 28 October 2018 Share Posted 28 October 2018 Bad day for the club and many people caught in individual tragedies. Best wishes to big Dan, an underrated player who was really growing into his role in the team.
Popular Post Nalis Posted 28 October 2018 Popular Post Share Posted 28 October 2018 (edited) Feel for the lad, timing couldnt have been any worse. Spends a couple of years working hard and finally finding a regular spot in the first team in a settled position. His performances were getting better too as the season went on. What a shit day yesterday was overall, get well soon Daniel! Edited 28 October 2018 by Nalis
Guest seanfox778 Posted 28 October 2018 Share Posted 28 October 2018 Good luck getting better, Dan. This had slipped my mind completely after what's happened. He must be feeling so devastated.
shen Posted 28 October 2018 Share Posted 28 October 2018 I sincerely hope he's not alone in hospital after this horrible injury and the news of the crash. That would be quite mentally devastating to have no one close around you.

GloverFox Posted 28 October 2018 Share Posted 28 October 2018 It was instantly recognisable that he was badly hurt, just hope he gets through this okay as I always view him as a real ‘heart and soul’ player. Get well soon big Dan.
Popular Post Countryfox Posted 28 October 2018 Popular Post Share Posted 28 October 2018 Quiet, talented, likeable and unassuming player that was beginning to show what he could do and was becoming a fixture in our new more athletic defence ... always got on with it and never moaned or spat his dummy out (unlike some) ... underrated by many. Top bloke Dan ... get well soon.

Farrington fox Posted 28 October 2018 Share Posted 28 October 2018 Absolutely gutted for him. He looked like he was just beginning to establish himself in the team after taking some stick, and now this. Can only hope for a speedy recovery.

ARM1968 Posted 28 October 2018 Share Posted 28 October 2018 Depends on the breaks and associated damage - I know. An accident in 1997 ended my sporting days, beyond darts. Ironically I was in LRI recovering when Stefan Oakes was wheeled in next to me in full kit, just broken his leg in a reserve game against Villa. I wish Daniel the best. MC Prussian Posted 29 October 2018 Share Posted 29 October 2018 What a bummer for Amartey. Just come back from injury last season, trying to find his feet again, some hiccups at the start (Manchester United away was unfortunate). Now found his way back into the squad, done fairly well and now this... Speedy recovery, Daniel! I hope you can make it back stronger and better than ever. But this now puts us in an unfortunate position as far as the right-back spot is concerned. Pereira has done rather poorly there and Simpson, albeit still on our books, hasn't had first team action yet. Is this the time for Puel to be forced to go to three at the back? *Shudders* In any case, it highlights our need to go for another right-back in January. Unless Puel trusts Johnson to step up.
