Popular Post Jay 177 Posted 28 October 2018 Popular Post Report Share Posted 28 October 2018 Still in a state of shock and hard to describe how this all feels and the next few weeks will be difficult for everyone connected to the club. Vichai and his family could have invested in a any club but for some reason they chose our club. They took us from championship obscurity and made the impossible possible. vichai and his family took the club, the people and the city to their heart and the people of Leicester returned that feeling. I never had the pleasure of meeting Vichai or any of his family but besides the obvious investments in the club, the charitable donations, the free scarfs and beers I’ve seen him handing out dozens of free shirts to children and when he ran out he went and got more. Vichai and his family were not just rich invevestors they are all good people. We’ve lost the best owner in football but Top and the rest of his family have lost their father and I know how devastating that is. I just hope they understand how much we loved and respected Vichai not just as Mr Chairman but as a person.

November 10th will be emotional with the commemorations that take place anyway. I was thinking about this too. Not just Tuesday, but even next weekend! The last time I had a bereavement of someone close, I wasn't truly at the races for at least a month! And that was from a so called natural death, not some untimely tragedy like this. Foxesneverquit86 4 Posted 28 October 2018 Report Share Posted 28 October 2018 Not long got back from the ground, managed to hold it together the majority of the time I was there but just sobbed and sobbed still not sinking in but being there really helped and felt like I needed to be there to pay my respects. We love you Vichai. My thoughts go out to the other people on board. Gonna go get a drink to calm myself down and toast the great man.

ARTY_FOX 1,611 Posted 28 October 2018 Report Share Posted 28 October 2018 Get a lump in my throat every 5 minutes. Itnreally is a testament to how amazing the Thai’s have been that it’s hit people as far and wide as it has. The definition of class and grace. To do as much for a community as he has with no obligation to and to give as much as he gave is a lesson for anyone on how to carry yourself. Everyone can learn from Vichai.

Popular Post Aeropars 123 Posted 28 October 2018 Popular Post Report Share Posted 28 October 2018 I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but looking at the images from the air, I think the pilot needs to also be recognised as doing a great job of limiting the situation. I can't honestly believe that it was dumb luck that the chopper came down where it did. Not sure if there's anything like a black box recorder but I hope that we find out if he did do this. If so it should also be recognised.... he will have saved lives.

This has stopped so many people from sitting in silence and hurting on their own, it is bloody brilliant what this community can do when they get together That's an excellent point, It's a modern day outlet that hasn't been there for previous generations and like most probably did I came here last night instinctively as my first thought. It's also helping those outside of the county who haven't got a like minded neighbour or friend to share their thoughts with. In it together rain or shine, you're making me proud.

Once the police have satisfied their portion of the investigation, and the family are ready, details will be revealed. For now it’s time to allow the families time for grieve. Popular Post football_mad 31 Posted 28 October 2018 Popular Post Report Share Posted 28 October 2018 Like most of you on here, I've been following this thread sporadically throughout the day. Although I am a Bristol City supporter, Leicester have become an adopted team for me. I'll never forget the evening when Chelsea and Spurs drew, giving Leicester the Premier League title. I was jumping around like a little kid, with tears of joy. I remember the video of Vardy's party and the joy it had brought. I remember the parties in Leicester that night and the following morning. The ultimate dream had come true. But today, I shed tears for a man--a most wonderful man--who believed in your club and its ability to reach the top. He made the impossible possible by believing in you. He helped bring the community together. The sheer tragedy of this disaster is visible - and for all those involved, including the crew, this is heartbreaking beyond comprehsion. Having read all of the posts here, I can say that you supporters are a credit to your club; and I know that, however painful this turns out to be, your unity will ensure that the wonderful legacy remains. I join the rest of the footballing world--and echo the sentiments of the supporters from other clubs--in offering you, and those so sadly affected by this tragedy, my deepest and heartfelt condolences. 24

Yep, in most situations where they know they've got a problem the best action is to try and put it somewhere where there a fewer chances of people getting caught up. Popular Post andys 30 Posted 28 October 2018 Popular Post Report Share Posted 28 October 2018 I never post on here, but I just wanted to say what a comforting thread this has been. Before the weekend started, I fully expected to take advantage of the clocks going back and get loads of sleep, but instead last night I just kept waking up and refreshing this page, reading the messages coming in. There are ways of processing a tragedy like this, and I'm sure this thread has helped hundreds of Leicester fans get through today. I don't personally know too many Leicester fans because I'm based in London, and I wish I could be at the stadium right now, so this forum has helped a lot. It's going to take the whole club (players, staff and fans) a long time to recover from this, so the community feeling of LCFC is going to be important more than ever. And whilst Vichai's family, including Top, start the long and difficult journey of grieving, I know that our fans, and the wider footballing community will help them through it. If you do want to speak to someone about how this has affected you, the Samaritans is a 24/7 free service for those who need emotional support, and their number is 116 123 (freephone). People often assume you need to be suicidal to ring the line, but you don't, and this is a perfectly good reason to ring them up. Finally, here's a picture taken at one of the last games of last season. I think it was the first of two lap of honours. Not many fans had stayed, but Vichai was there, throwing free toys to the fans. He may only have been at the club for 8 years, but he turned us into 'the fairytale club' (an earlier poster called us this, and it's stuck with me!).
