Well, I'm sorry, but the lad is a trier but nothing else.

I wish him well. A local lad and without doubt a 100%er.

His touch is as delicate as a lump hammer. And when he had possession, on almost every occasion he rolled it back to the keeper. With respect, I could do that.

In pissing down conditions, he did however excel at the slide tackle.

No shame in it but I suspect he'll forge a career at league 1/2 level.

(Before I get battered for slagging off a young lad, I recall James wesolowski. He was miles ahead at the same age. And cut out a career earning 300 notes a week at Hamilton accies in the end)

Comment above is one from me back in December.

He's proving me wrong. Rapidly. And I'm delighted he's doing so

I'm living in London, now, too, and have an Arsenal supporter as a wife...  I think this season, and having her watch Leicester matches seriously, is helping ground her a bit better in that regard ;)  (TBH, it's not her fault she lived near Highbury when growing up is it? :P )

The only normal Arsenal fan is my son.Yes,I have failed as a parent. Why did I move down here LOL!!

Wonder if man city dug up and leaked the hamza tweets ahead of this weekend's game just to unsettle him, and knowing Brendan will probably look to start the game with a similar midfield - just like the magic link to Maguire surfacing a few days ago. Sub Leeds spying tactics if so.

The lad needs a decent chant.

“ he tweets what he wants”

“ he tweets what he wants”

“hamza and frankie Boyle tweet what they want”

Well, I know exactly why I moved down here - my Mum gave me a house, a job and a girlfriend (now my wife) :D  So I can't complain too much about having to support Arsenal in exchange for her supporting Leicester now, can I? (Except when they meet of course... Hehehe.)  It does feel pretty sad that the only footy match I've ever been to was at the Emirates though, rather than the KP :(  (I've been to the KP, but for the Rugby World Cup instead - feels a bit like cheating, lol...)

I personally don’t give a shit if he upsets someone with his tweets, we need a badass in midfield who speaks his mind, the only upsetting thing is he feels the need to apologise.

This is weird. I only picked this up on the back of your rethink today about the virtues of Hamza.

I was on a cruiser yesterday and got talking to an Aussie who was well into football and was commenting on one or two Aussies who had made it in the Prem. I wanted to talk about Wesolowski having been on our books and not quite making it, but I couldn't for the life of me recall his name. Today I spot your comment of 3 months ago and there it is.

Incidentally, I think your comment on Wesolwski is a little unfair. As far as I recall (and maybe someone can update my memory) Wesolowski was an exciting prospect for us but his career was completely derailed by a horrendous leg break from which he never fully recovered, hence him ending up at a much lower level.

And back to Hamza, amazing how a number of fans had such a poor view of his passing ability and yet he comes up with a stat of 98% accuracy v Arsenal. All good!

I had him down as being pretty limited - good for if we needed someone to disrupt the opposition but not really anything beyond that. Couldn't really understand the consistent calls for him to be in the side but think he's probably going to prove me wrong. Tidy passer, not afraid to drive forward with the ball and strong and aggressive in the tackle without being reckless. I get the impression Torreira might fancy himself as a bit of a scrapper but Hamza made him look like a little kid on more than one occasion.

Still think it's a little early to properly judge how good he is and I wonder how useful he'd be against more defensive-minded teams, but he's looking good and I hope it continues.

Amazing that you've just created your own conspiracy theory out of thin air and decided to compare it to something that actually happened. I'm sure if Manchester City were so frightened of us to dig up dirt, they'd do more than pull up tweets from a player who has made one league appearance since January (and thus would be replaced without much fuss in the team)

The wonders of the internet.

When I speak to media students about the business, I recommend they go back through tweets and search for hateful words and then delete them as stuff can come back to haunt them. Better still, just bulk delete very old tweets. As for Hamza, he said some stupid things but nothing outrageous for a 15/16 year old. This will blow over quickly but clubs should educate young players more about these things.

(I've made social media cockups as a full grown adult - thank fook it wasn't around when I was a kid.)

Your Mum gave you a girlfriend?? That surely goes beyond the duty of parental responsibility?

I know ;) :D  I don't think my Mum cared much for her football support, though :P  (Yes, she was my Mum's girlfriend before me - she basically paid her to look after her house (that we're both now living in) while she was away (which was most of the time.) - and wasn't adverse to sharing a bed together when she wasn't ;)

TBH, my Mum probably took one look at her and thought "she'd make a good girlfriend for Phillippa, and I like her too", and then after she'd gotten to know her better "she'd make a good wife for Phillippa", so.... :P  (P.s. my wife just read this and shrugged - "it's true, and I'm not complaining!" :D )
