I only hope the players feel 100x more embarrassed than I do.

Several players there that should never wear the shirt again. Lack of professional pride is the most upsetting thing.

Careful investment is desperately needed. Praying that Puel is the right man to infuse any new acquisitions with the drive and enthusiasm we are obviously lacking, but I'm really not sure.

Players that should never wear the shirt again.

- Nacho

- King

- Okazaki

- James

understand there are 2 legends in that but it’s time to move on

Newport deserved it. I’m not ashamed to say I favour stability with a view to reviewing things in the summer, but I have to say he got that wrong today. James wasn’t ready for 70 minutes today, no Vardy in the 18 was foolish, and you put Ricardo on the pitch you have every chance of winning the game. However that lack of will to stop the cross for the first goal, the hatful of chances missed and the stupidity to handball a cross when you’ve just got the equaliser. Where was the desire from the players. People say the manager should get them up for it but you have to look in the mirror and take responsibility yourself in games like this, and not enough of them did. Collective responsibility today. He’s just put himself under massive pressure

A well considered post indeed.

That wasn't Claudes fault. What was Claudes fault is putting out a team who made Newport look like a PL outfit in the first half. We had enough chances to win it but we never looked good at any point in that game.

Our starting 11 was strong enough to beat league 2 opposition, there were about 3-4 selections that you could question but the rest are good enough to beat Newport.

It's the same players every single time that are not showing up, Ghezzal scored but didn't really impress, Okazaki and Iheanacho yet again were ****ing woeful, I'm not surprised to see he played them but yet again it's another game where they don't take their chance.

We are too over reliant on Vardy, we have nobody else, we have no game changers, we need attacking reinforcements, that is clear as day.

As you said yourself we had enough chances to win today; however yet again it's the same couple of players that can't hit a barn door.

Played well. Absolutely dominated.

Don’t have a striker. Nacho must never play again. Absolutely awful. Shinji, with love, time to go elsewhere.

Puel needs two strikers minimum this window. If we have to overpay, so be it. We can’t go the rest of the season with only Vardy able to put it in the net.

Can always rely on Foxestalk to surprise me!!!

I would say out of the starting team Morgan, Evans, Albrighton and Choudhury are the rest are either not good enough or coming to the end of there careers.

Exactly why Puel has dropped them. Rebuilding is what this season is about.

Shinki and Nacho needed a final chance, and the flunked it.

We had plenty of shots, it was not Puels fault that they did not go in.

2 more years and we'll have cleared out most of the rubbish we've been tied down to. If Puel can keep slowly adding quqlity and chipping away at the rubbish, we should be looking a lot better in 18-24 months.

Still should have won despite looking bad, Albrighton gift wrapping them the win was pretty annoying. Our depth is laughably poor. Plenty of cloggers, but no exciting talent. Hopefully Barnes is back sharpish.

He wouldn't get picked.

James is clearly finished and that must show in training.

Andy King is openly on his way out.

Surely somebody that represents our future should've been given a run out.

They wanted it, we didn't, only players who can hold their heads up today are hamza, ward and maddison who tried to get us going, iheanacho had no decent service but he put no effort or desire to make the right runs at all, he's so poor it's criminal, absolute full credit to Newport, set up perfect against us and defended like warriors, I'm not going to lie the result doesn't bother me, but some of the performances from the players really has

We turned the game around today then Albrighton was a stupid idiot but I guess that's Claude's fault?

Ok ...so all is rosy and puel can stay and continue to shape our football to his liking.... and make team selections that are shocking... and fail have any influence on a game...  . buts that fine coz he is so inspirational we will follow him anywhere and toast his exciting brio

He buys, selects and prepares the team.

He'll get the credit when we score and win, therefore it is his fault

I was trying to remain silent but I have to ask questions here, I asked the questions last year and never really got answers or reasoning in response, the fact he's been here over a year now adds even more confusion to it.

Grow some bollocks, he's been here a year, over a year, has he still not sorted the rumoured strong dressing room, snakes? By all means your suggestion may well be correct but he's been here a year, should he not have gone a fair way to sorting this? If not why?

It's easier said than done getting rid of players but lay some bleeding ground rules down, show some discipline.

seems not ............ perhaps he knows what lies ahead for him and isn’t bothered about making day to day life on the training pitch a struggle or perhaps today marks the end of that ‘dressing room’ clique ?????

Going to work now, Buce, are you on here?

Taking bets on how many pages this thread will have got to next time I look at it!!! Blonk! Blonk! Blonk! (if your desktop machine makes the same noise as mine every time someone posts).

Any advance on 50???

Today has to be the worst result since Stoke, and relegation to League 1, and before that Wycombe.

On paper they "should be strong enough" but they weren't. In fact it was a complete disarray in the first half. Surely Puel knows if certain players are going to click with each other. It's not all on him but he's got to take some responsibility. And like you said - we have only one intelligent striker.

We lost that because of a stupid mistake by Albrighton for the penalty. Puel can't be blamed for that

But we can blame Puel for putting out a half baked team with nothing on the bench.

We can also blame him for using two in midfield that have not kicked a ball this season.

We can also blame him for showing no respect to the competition and the traveling fans.

I've not been Puel out but I can't accept that bollox today.

Very disappointing - picking players with 0 or little game time this season + others who’s careers are sliding fast was a big mistake for fans desperate for a long FA cup run!  Well done to Newport but we did make it easy for you - which wasn’t your fault.  Easy to overreact but after all the recent “good times”, back down to earth & all part of the journey of supporting LCFC :scarf:

That's it in a nutshell.  You can't blame poor service if you never find any space or make any runs.  This is the last time I mention Nacho today cus I'm getting on his back a bit but I never saw him win a single duel, run into space or make himself available.  So disappointing and I thought he was gonna be such a great signing.
