Southampton have also shown interest in the 22-year-old but Garry Monk would want a big fee bearing in mind Birmingham's financial constraints and the fact they owe a sell-on to Sheffield United. Slim won't be off our books until his contract runs out. What's he done to justify the wage we pay. Who's daft enough to match it? Do you see him on £80k a week accepting £20/30k max to move. They don't lose him and would be open to it as they are not left without a striker as they can't buy anyone.
