rico Posted 15 March 2019 Share Posted 15 March 2019 Leicester City scouts were in Denmark on Wednesday afternoon to watch one of Europe's most exciting young talents, according to reports. Reports from Danish newspaper Herning Folkeblad claim Leicester City were one of around 20 clubs represented at the UEFA Youth League Round of 16 tie between FC Midtjylland and Manchester United. The scouts, which included representatives from Juventus and Ajax, were present to watch up-and-coming Nigerian talent Jibril Abubakar. The 6ft 3in 19-year-old didn't score in the game, but he played a part in a historic win with Midtjylland becoming the first Danish side to reach the quarter-final stage of the competition. And Abubakar has played a vital part in his team's extended run in the Youth League, scoring four times in 19 appearances across all competitions. Abubakar joined Midtjylland on a free transfer from homeland club FC Ebedei in January of last year, and it seems the Danish club could make a big profit on the striker, who is known for his physicality and presence up top.
