Always so calm and reassuring. He took the lead in the defence and marshalled everything. Very mature performance

Would love him to get a new contact too. I think you're right about him going all the way to the top, he just oozes class. Regarding new contacts, I believe he is very good friends with Cengiz Under and also knows Ozan Kabak quite well too. Would take either or both of them.
kyleolly 857 Posted 13 September 2020 Report Share Posted 13 September 2020 He looks great when he stays deep a couple of times at the start of the game he came racing out to make a challenge when he doesn’t need to apart from that he was class today
StanSP 26,341 Posted 17 September 2020 Report Share Posted 17 September 2020 Soyuncu is our new striker.

He started out as a striker in the youth teams of his Turkish club before being moved back. That often happens with the defenders that can play, they learned their trade further up the pitch before being moved backwards. Further proof if ever we needed it though, that Soyuncu is different class. Wonder what he's thinking with Under arriving soon? His personal happiness must be very high right now, which bodes well for the club!
HighPeakFox 10,502 Posted 20 September 2020 Report Share Posted 20 September 2020 (edited) "A dramatic late swoop for Leicester's Turkish centre-back Caglar Soyuncu by a number of the richest EPL teams is understood to have faltered at the last minute. Sources close to the relevant clubs say it was due to some absolute whopper on the LCFC forum pointing out that his English wasn't good enough." Nalis 5,085 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 Love him as a guy but think we give him too much of a free pass. For a big defender he gets outmuscled and outfought when faced with anyone remotely strong. He's also so slow to react. Needs to work on both those aspects. Starting to think he's basically another Maguire minus the heading ability.
Leicester_Loyal 4,843 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 Talk of him heading to Barca last week for 100m Good CB but has lots of improvement to do in certain aspects of his game if he wants to be a top player. As it is he's a very good EPL CB.
goody2028 1,221 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 It’s easy to slate him and say he’s overrated when we’re losing but guarantee we win in 2 weeks time he’ll be praised to heaven again.
Jattdogg 2,812 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 Someone get him a blue pill for next match
Sampson 3,007 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 His worst performance for us today. Antonio bullied him all game, don't think Soyuncu won a single duel against him and Antonio made everything look so easily against him. He never looks the same player in a back 3. Corky 12,901 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 Antonio, in fairness, hurts a lot of defenders with his movement, strength and attitude. He's not going to be anonymous. Soyuncu, normally, is fine. He won't be the last to struggle against Antonio.

Kopfkino 4,175 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 Looked like Eric Garcia today
FoxinNotts 1,601 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 Terrible. He started in a three (he can’t play in a three). Then his day got worse, once we reverted to a back four...probably down to having a bad start, to his game, whilst in a back three! (He can’t play in a three!)

TK95 2,080 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 Hoping the arrival of Fofana will provide competition for places. Bit of complacency with him and Evans being guaranteed starters. Maybe it's the kick up the backside he needs
Col city fan 11,252 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 All I can say is it’s a good job we know how good Soyuncu can be because if you were watching him there for the first time you’d simply think WTF? Utterly bullied by Antonio for 90 odd minutes

NaijaFox 1,017 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 Perhaps squiring Ünder around this week has been a distraction.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner 767 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 Looks lost in a back 3 doesn't he? Concerning how many times he’s been caught under the ball so far this season.
Heymister2015 450 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 One flaw to his game and it’s a huge one!! He can’t jump!!!!
TheCryptoPoet 84 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 One of his worst performances today but let's not get carried away he's been consistently excellent since becoming a first teamer so he gets a pass on this one.
