jmono84 380 Posted 21 September 2020 Report Share Posted 21 September 2020 He was my man of the match and that was before I hear Piper say it haha. BBC pissed me off saying it was Castagne who skinned the guy out wide which lead to Justin’s goal (I think) when it was Praet. The guy was phenomenal today and did very little wrong.
Popular Post RowlattsFox 2,227 Posted 21 September 2020 Popular Post Report Share Posted 21 September 2020 One day he will complete the 90 minutes. Maddison might have more consistent quality, but Praet plays with more energy and makes runs into strong positions. He has a free role really and seems to enjoy it. Deserves to keep his place for time being.
rachhere 1,871 Posted 21 September 2020 Report Share Posted 21 September 2020 Was so happy for him when he got his goal. Its already looking like this is going to be a fantastic season for him.
UHDrive 650 Posted 21 September 2020 Report Share Posted 21 September 2020 Always loved this guy since he started and the potential was always there. Whats happened to all the naysayers now?!? Praet last season was in some respects played out of his natural position and held back from given licence to move forward. Maddison had the same problem but he seems to be moving across the 18 yard box line and playing from side to side with freedom. I'm not sure of the change in BR's decision making but I'm not complaining. Go Praet...
Guest Markyblue Posted 21 September 2020 Report Share Posted 21 September 2020 Plenty of games this season for both praet and madders to make major contributions.
Vindaloo FOX 610 Posted 21 September 2020 Report Share Posted 21 September 2020 Prats scored a good amount of goals during his time at Anderlecht. Would not surprise me if we see a few more goals from him this season.

This is the gist of it, really. Even with the inconsistent way he's been used Praet's quality has been obvious from day one, and it's unbelievable how so much of the fanbase seems to have missed the boat on him. He does things to help you win every time he plays. Adding to that, the switch with Dennis playing in a more advanced role and Tielemans lying deeper has clearly helped both of them. Tielemans has a tendency to disappear from games when he plays where Praet is playing now, but he's more involved in the transition from defense to attack. And Praet is superb at getting himself into dangerous positions, and you can see how his movement all over the pitch has caused trouble for both WBA and a very well-organized Burnley. How do you bench him? I don't think you can. Either Maddison becomes a supersub or you start rotating the midfielders every match.

Sell Maddison. 1

Yes, it was Praet. Made that goal, basically - "hockey assist", which he's always gotten a lot of.

Mark 2,187 Posted 21 September 2020 Report Share Posted 21 September 2020 I've been critical, but he's started the season well and on a different level to last season where he wasn't impacting games and seemed a bit lost. We should be keeping Tielemans and Praet together if it brings the best out of them, could it be that pairing with Maddison upsets both their games 🤷♂️

honeybradger 606 Posted 21 September 2020 Report Share Posted 21 September 2020 Im one of the people who didnt think too much of praet, thought he drifted out of games too easily. Was a masterclass yesterday, hopefully last season was just him settling into the side and learning the system/his teammates as he does have some great on the ball quality, if this is his new standard then he's going to have a fantastic season. Nicolo Barella 2,661 Posted 22 September 2020 Report Share Posted 22 September 2020 Praet playing so advanced this season gives me hope that when Maddison does start to play more regularly it will be in a more advanced position as well, where he's always looked at his best for us. Popular Post StriderHiryu 16,960 Posted 27 September 2020 Popular Post Report Share Posted 27 September 2020 He was great again today. Might not get the showreel highlights, but he runs like a machine, makes himself available, joins the attacks, drifts wide to support the play, etc. Totally reborn this season!
