I just don’t think he has it in him to face and conquer his biggest challenge. Namely @Mark It’s working so fair enough, seems to bring the best out of Tielemans to have him in the side. But clearly I don’t see the quality like others do, he works hard and is a neat and tidy passer which he often keeps safe, you need more in forward positions. Vardy never had a chance all game and it’s no surprise when you’ve no pace around you or proper support. I can understand his inclusion in attacking midfield more now against the better teams but hope he’s not going to be first choice against the rest now where a more creative player is needed, especially at home where we struggle for goals. 1

You must have watched a different game. Everything good we did in that first half went through him, due to his quick one-twos and positive forward passes on the wings. It was the exact opposite to being "a neat and tidy passer which he oftens keeps safe" today. He was finding us so much space as a team through risky one-twos in tight spaces. The reason we dropped off second half is because we couldn't get him into the game as much. Youri is great, but Praet was much, much better and more important to us creatively than both Tielemans and Maddison today and nothing to do with him bringing the best out of Tielemans. fox_favourite 445 Posted 8 November 2020 Report Share Posted 8 November 2020 Very tidy player. Good in tight spaces and does some good running. A steady player. Our midfield looks quite settled and looks like it's working well this season.

Yeah, that’s all fair enough and he did play there a bit for Sampdoria I think. Guess we will have two (maybe 3 in Perez, but I hope not) different types of right sided AM. Where Under is the faster skilful guy and Praet is the slower skilful blood and thunder type guy.
Cardiff_Fox 6,063 Posted 8 November 2020 Report Share Posted 8 November 2020 Very good in the first half. Seems to have developed a yard of pace
Corky 12,909 Posted 8 November 2020 Report Share Posted 8 November 2020 One of those players who is noticed more when he isn't there. When Perez came in against West Ham the right side looked far more ineffective.

HighPeakFox 10,502 Posted 8 November 2020 Report Share Posted 8 November 2020 Put in a belting cross for Vardy which frankly looked like Vards just missed. Some lovely link up play and control in tight areas.

Dames 827 Posted 8 November 2020 Report Share Posted 8 November 2020 Seems to have gotten stronger. Felt at times he was lightweight last season but this season he imposes himself a lot more. Key part of the team at the minute.

berniethebolt 164 Posted 8 November 2020 Report Share Posted 8 November 2020 (edited) I think the lads simply superb. Looks like hes bulked up quite a bit this season and the extra muscles helping his stregth and speed. One of those players those holds the mid together. Can shield the play if another goes as well as being smart enough to create on the front foot when hes in the roght areas. (To whats new pussy cat - Tom Jones) "We love Dennis Praet.. wo woaaah.. We love Dennis Praet.. wo woaaah." Edited 8 November 2020 by berniethebolt 2
StanSP 26,370 Posted 12 November 2020 Report Share Posted 12 November 2020 So not only did we beat AC Milan to signing Fofana, but we also beat them to getting Praet too.

Not a chance we line up with that same personnel and formation vs Wolves on a regular basis, that was done purely counteract the horrible experiences we've had of playing Wolves under Nuno. It wasn't pretty but for once we got the 3 points vs them and we move on, we put out much more attacking sides vs them before and were even worse. This 3 at the back conundrum means we sacrifice at least one of Barnes, Ünder or Maddison which isn't great but right now without Ndidi and Ricardo I think it's probably the right thing to do, the table certainly suggests it is given the run of games we've had and steamrolled. Deeg67 2,866 Posted 13 November 2020 Report Share Posted 13 November 2020 Praet hasn't stronger or faster at age 26, sorry. People are just realizing how good he's been all along. Playing in position this season certainly helps.
