Marc's reaction didn't really help the cause 😅 I guess he knew he'd given the ref a great chance to won them the game

The only consolation is that Liverpool will almost certainly bottle it.

Have they posted a dressing room selfie on Instagram yet?

Despite the way we lost, we pretty much held our own against the would be league winners. The winning goal was utter shite, but we aren’t. Nothing but positives for me... we’re a decent wide man away from being competitors again on my opinion.

You know when Danny Murphy and Kevin Nolan agree that it was 'debatable' then it was never a penalty in a bazillion years. Disgusting decision.

Clear and obvious dive - doubt anyone but a Liverpool fan would say otherwise and a lot of those said it was a dive. What is the point of VAR?  Seriously.

We were not at our best and should have had a point. Enough said really.

I think this excerpt from the BBC Match Report is a good read for all Foxes:

Leicester City arrived at Anfield with many tipping them as serious top-four contenders given the crisis at Tottenham and the transitions taking place at Chelsea and Manchester United.

Nothing on view here suggested this is a false claim. This is a very impressive side superbly organised by Rodgers.

Rodgers may feel they took too long to crank up the attacking threat on Saturday - but the manner in which they remained calm, composed and frustrated Liverpool's world-class attack for long periods bodes well for the season ahead.

Jamie Vardy only had one chance in behind the Reds defence but his touch let him down, while Maddison was relatively quiet until he stole in on the end of Perez's pass to shoot under Adrian, although Liverpool's keeper surely should have done better.

It was the overall look of Leicester that suggested they will be a top-four force this season - a good blend of youth and experience, pace and resilience.

It says a lot about them that they will leave so Anfield so bitterly disappointed. They were not in awe of a team that have carried all before them in the Premier League this season.

very positive from Brendan.

while we are gutted... we were away to European champs and we took the game to them.

the fa need to look at the various rules... it can't be that they only over rule if the mistake is clear and obvs

We dug in and got back into the match; yes, we didn’t bombard their goal but it was a committed performance against probably the best side in Europe at the moment, last 30 minutes felt we were on top. The Man U game didn’t even have that.

Yea better than the Man U performance, but if you think we played well, then your wrong. We had no attacking threat. At all!

If it’s any saving grace, it needed all that to beat us. We were in the game for long spells and we did well. Think back to 14/15, we all call that a free hit. Today we’re coming away disappointed to lose a point in the 95th minute. That was the European champions.

The reaction on Twitter and other places says it all. We’re making fans of these big teams nervous. Best we get used to it.

A blatant dive but Albrighton totally screwed us there. He could have hoofed it out, left it for Kaspar or just not made the challenge. I'm fuming at his stupidity!

Gotta use it as a catalyst now. We rode our luck at times today but all teams have to do that at Anfield. Got them in a scenario where they had to go down that route

In some ways it’s similar to the Arsenal 2-1 15/16. We had them in a position where they have resorted to those tactics.

You dont get reactions like that unless you are a threat

Yeah three bad decisions in a row. Even knocking it out for a corner would have been better with a minute on the clock

Disagree with this really, seems like a piece written to suit a narrative that we are potentially a top 4 side.

We were far more impressive last year at Anfield and could easily have lost the game today more comfortably.

VAR is in use for every PL game... The wait for the check was made clear too

How come Trent didn’t get sent off then and why was the dive not made aware of?

Kavanagh is a cvnt of a ref anyway. He always was going to give that pen. He wanted to. Every little decision went to them including the so called high foot.
