Vardys record under threat..

Have I got Wymsey on mute or has he got me on mute??

I can't see his post above for some reason.

EIther way, I had this to say...

"Britt Asombalonga went for 5m in the summer ffs.

He might not be a goal scorer but we couldn't replace his work rate for 5 bloody million.

If we were going to sell then I'd want at least 7. Nobody in the league works as hard as him. For a relegation fighting team, it's invaluable."

So I thought I was doing better than most until I came out with...

"So effectively Okazaki for Vardy + 3m? Take that every day of the week."

I love Shinji as much as the next Leicester fan but jesus.

My post got deleted, for some reason.

For vardy to equal his own record hed need 7 games more, 7 games more is liverpool at home on boxing day. If my maths is correct that would mean if he was to score 2 in one of these 7 games and 1 in the rest then the 100th prem goal would also be his 11th in a row. At home, on boxing day, against liverpool. Am I being a bit too optimistic:D

Quick maths, love it.

Best player there has ever been at the club in my lifetime.

How the hell can you replace him!

You really can’t - which is a bit of a concern really. Mind you, he’s probably got another couple of seasons in him - hopefully.

If, by the time he retires, we are an established top six side, his job and legend would have been done.

If that is his legacy then it will be one of the best ever. Hard to imagine anyone topping it.

Should be compulsory for all Foxtalkers to go back to this thread in 2015. Absolutely shows how useless we all are!

General view we should 'cash in ' Vardy for £5m.

Shame on us.

He still has a lot to offer, didn't realise so many of you have written him off already. Not learned from last time?

...Clean conscience for me.

He's potentially on course for 30+ goals this season. Let that sink in. :fc:

Coincidentally, 30+ is also his age. And will be forever. Guy just won't get any older.

Which is pretty freaking awesome.

I feel like he's capable of breaking Shearer's record of most goals in a season

Watford (h)

Aston Villa (a)

Norwich (h)

Man City (a)

Liverpool (h)

Those are the fixtures he needs to score in to equal it.

West Ham (a)

Would be the potential 12th to break his own record.

It’s an incredible record when you think about the period of time he’s been scoring and he still has 5 fixtures he has to score in to equal it. There are certainly games there where he can get goals but obviously the Man City and Liverpool games will be tough to score in back-to-back so I don’t think he’ll equal/break it.

Laughed at this then realised I should probably check what I had to say:

No way, Vardy's a machine.

I'll have my gold star sticker now please. :)

Unfortunately like yourself I let myself down a bit with the next one:

Has everyone forgotten he's English?  Surely that makes him worth 15 million minimum.

15 million for Vardy?  Idiot.

How many more consecutive games does Ianaecho need to score in to break Vardy's record?

You mock, but he's the only City player to score in every game he's played this season.

Needs Vardy's Premier stats alone.

Agree. Vardy's PL stats are better than Wrights. 113 goals 190 odd PL games. Vardy should be spoken as one of the PL greats when he retires.
