tetly 205 Posted 22 January Report Share Posted 22 January No better opportunity for him to step up and be the man. I have my doubts but really hope he proves me wrong.
FoxinNotts 1,723 Posted 22 January Report Share Posted 22 January I’m right behind him, hope he does well. In Jamie Vardy we’ve got ourselves a 1 in 2 striker, a rare breed indeed. Both Kelechi and Perez are about 1 in 4. Perfect chance for them pair to get ratios up, and prove their worth
David Hankey 682 Posted 22 January Report Share Posted 22 January I've always had doubts about him from Day One. I remember seeing him in his first game for City, didn't he have to go off because he stubbed his toe?!! First impressions and all that.
ARTY_FOX 1,785 Posted 22 January Report Share Posted 22 January Hopefully its a run of games that does him good. Starting with 3 vs Everton.
Aus Fox 9,209 Posted 22 January Report Share Posted 22 January He’s magic, you know... Time to show what you can do Kelechi, I am going to back him to get 5 goals whilst Vardy is out. 1

Foxes96 281 Posted 22 January Report Share Posted 22 January Probably reading too much into it but noticed Kel appeared a bit more in the training vid and now an interview on the clubs socials hinting at a bigger role over the coming weeks. Can’t see a striker coming in now, think we’ll stick with Iheanacho and Perez for the time being, more likely to get an attacking midfielder alternative - Otavio anyone? No top 4 finish. Simples. 1
Vindaloo FOX 664 Posted 23 January Report Share Posted 23 January Last season he got 10 goals in 26 appearances. Not so bad for a squad player. He seems like he is a confidence player, needs a arm around him every now and then. Time for us to back him and BR to put that confidence in him.

So what's the formula to identify a striker at a fair price in Jan, that will definitely score more than Kel? Throwing dosh at this problem is no more likely to pay off, than playing Kel for a run of games. In fact playing the lad already integrated, in my opinion, is more likely to succeed. murphy 7,017 Posted 23 January Report Share Posted 23 January I think Iheanacho is the type of player that can look rank awful but then you look at his numbers and they're not all that bad. He does score a few but tends to look dreadful doing it.
ARM1968 3,054 Posted 23 January Report Share Posted 23 January I’m not expecting much, can’t see him scoring more than 3 in every game. Useless.

Just to compare the 3 strikers you have mentioned: Ulloa’s best season in the PL 11 goals in 37 games Perez 12 goals in 37 games. Iheanacho 8 goals in 26 games. There really is not a lot of difference in terms of output between the three of them.

No way can you compare these, when different styles and service is considered
Aus Fox 9,209 Posted 23 January Report Share Posted 23 January Or total Premier League goals Ulloa 86 games 18 goals a goal every 5 games 122 games 22 goals a goal every 6 games 221 games 51goals a goal every 4.5 games. All 3 have played many of there games off the bench, not sure if there is anywhere you can find minutes played per goal. Perez has also played many games on the wing. You cant compare Shearer with Vardy as the whole premier league is different same as Ulloa and Iheanacho different type of player in a vastly different team

Surely the best strikers, whatever their style score goals? To me that’s how you judge their performance. Ulloa, Perez and Iheanacho are all very different types of player yes, but when Vardy is out, if they play as our main striker, their main job is to put the ball in the back of the nets and they will all be compared and judged on how many times they do this, regardless of their style.
