berniethebolt 179 Posted 10 February Report Share Posted 10 February Only possible ray of hope there is he seemed quite relaxed and not in heaps of pain? perhaps he felt something and obviously tacking no risks, no movement and stretchered off. If he tore any knee ligament the pain is excruciating. Something not right but I'm holding out a Ray of hope.

sm1 784 Posted 10 February Report Share Posted 10 February Played every minute in the PL. Why didn't Fuchs start especially in a back 3. The decision to play him in the least important competition could bite us in the backside.
sdb 2,818 Posted 10 February Report Share Posted 10 February Captain hindsight but tonight really did see like an opportunity to rest him.

Ricardo played 45 mins on a torn ACL. Sadly all signs point to an ACL given he did it landing and twisting and they tested his ACL and called for the stretcher.

They immobilise your knee, then see if the lower leg hinges up with no resistance. If no resistance then ACL is gone. 1

majaco 1,224 Posted 10 February Report Share Posted 10 February Often, that type of incident means a player is out for 6 weeks to 9 months. Hope it isn't. A ray of hope is Thomas looks like he is getting better and better
Gevans_97 371 Posted 10 February Report Share Posted 10 February Doesn’t look good which is a real kick in the teeth. What a player he’s been for us this season, and if this means he misses the Euros too because of it, how gutting for the lad. Such a shame
les-tah 1,753 Posted 10 February Report Share Posted 10 February I don’t think there’s any knee injury scenario in which he’s back within a couple of weeks.
StanSP 30,231 Posted 10 February Report Share Posted 10 February Is it a promising sign that he wasn't really writhing around in agony and actually sat up for a bit? Maybe going off on a stretcher just precautionary?
Kopfkino 4,302 Posted 10 February Report Share Posted 10 February Would be more gutted about this than Ricardo. Fingers crossed for him

It might be a strain rather than a rupture, we'll have to wait and see what the MRI says.
Simonb 151 Posted 10 February Report Share Posted 10 February Gutted for him.. He. Must've been in contact with southgates lot saying expect a call. Spent a full season struggling to get a run in the team.. Finally gets himself in a position he's undroppable, and then gets injured playing centre back and now back to square one... Getting fitness back, back of the queue and needing to wait to get back in
