Leicester City youngster Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will take the next step in his development on loan with League 1 side Blackpool until the end of the season, subject to Football League approval.

- Young midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall joins Blackpool on loan
- The 21-year-old made his Leicester City debut against Brentford on Saturday
- Shepshed-born Dewsbury-Hall is a product of Leicester City’s Academy

The 21-year-old midfielder made his professional debut for the Foxes as a second half substitute in the 1-0 Emirates FA Cup win over Brentford at Griffin Park on Saturday after a fine first half of the campaign for Leicester City’s Development Squad.

Dewsbury-Hall has been a regular in Premier League 2 for City’s youngsters and was named the Club’s Development Squad Player of the Season for 2018/19 – a campaign that ended with him captaining an Under-21s side in the Hong Kong Sevens tournament last summer.

The Shepshed-born central midfielder has come through the ranks of Leicester City’s Academy and has continually caught the eye with a series of consistent and industrious displays from the middle of the park.

He will now continue his development with Simon Grayson’s Blackpool, who are currently 15th in League One ahead of away fixtures against promotion-chasers Wycombe Wanderers and Oxford United in the next week.

Let’s send Benko there too so that they can develop an understanding on the pitch ...

Iffy form lately, but they're 12 points clear of relegation and 8 points off the playoffs with 21 games still to play. Should be plenty of opportunity for him to make his mark if he can get off to a good start.

Looking forward to seeing how he gets on.

Anyone with a good level of knowledge of our U23s think he has much chance of making it in our first team?

Kept it simple and tidy when he came on at the weekend and didn’t seem to be too overawed but similarly didn’t do anything particularly outstanding.

Difficult to tell exactly what level he can cut it at as hes never played mens football.

I guess this will be a definitive moment in his career to see if he can hold his own.

Hes always looked like a player who is comfortable on the ball and does not rush things to me but again its difficult to tell because of the level hes been playing at.
