Aston Villa (EFL Cup 2nd Leg) - 28/01/2020 - Match Thread

We’ve got some weak links in that team. Why we haven’t bought reinforcements in the window is beyond me. Tielemens has been bang average for months.

Well over two legs Villa have had absolutely everything go their way. VAR failed to see a peno this tie and ridiculous saves by Nyland kept them in it. They've virtually scored all three shots on target over the tie. Gutting.

LOOK AT ALL OF THESE NOBBERS ON THE PITCH.

I HOPE MANCHESTER CITY DESTROY THEM.

Where has he been playing though? The change of formation has messed it up

Doesn't matter what formation you are playing you have to pick the man up on the outside!

Before anybody says it, no we weren't poor. We were the better team.

Please. Sure we weren't awful but Villa should have scored three.

While some players did well - Nacho and Youri in particular- we are bottlers big time. Pathetic.

Kasper so weak on balls into the box too.

To many players gone missing in a big game again, Perez, kasper, Barnes, a team cannot win with so many bottling it.

Stats say we are the better side, but villa have looked the more likely to win it all night

Bright side. Better than losing at Wembley, which we would have done. We're not that good against better teams this year.
