They can get ****ed. Refs will be rightly getting booed when we're back in the grounds, embarrassing how after the officiating we've all witnessed over the past 18 months they're STILL protected.

SAFC1 298 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February Romeu - superb
Dan LCFC 12,050 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February I suppose that proves why its needed. I'm sure if the ref had been clapped onto the pitch he would've been inspired to give the yellow for diving, but without the support he just couldn't manage it.
Fox42 878 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February Romeu with one of the tackles of the season, there. Saying that, Raphina should’ve pulled the trigger seconds before then

Honestly, just take the focus off them, don't get me wrong referees have always been a part of debate nowadays it's like the sport takes every measure possible to make them an even bigger subject, rather than the football itself. I clock out on most debates about decisions nowadays. It's just boring as ****.

Surely, the referees themselves have come out and said **** off there’s no chance we’re letting you do this? It’s so embarrassing.
TK95 2,563 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February That tackle would get fans off their seats
Super_horns 979 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February I don't think this will take off somehow! Clap someone onto the pitch your going to spend the next 90 minutes trying to con or shout at. Its a bit like when the players shake hands with each other before going to kick them and doing your best to avoid being beaten.
Pablito 62 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February @ Raphinas 20 yard roll with 3 somersaults throw in.
ARTY_FOX 1,705 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February Thats harsh.
RowlattsFox 2,635 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February That should be allowed.
Leicester_Loyal 5,957 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February The ref looked like he was stood there waiting for them to take the free kick there, yet punished them for doing so.
davieG 18,193 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February This playing to whistle is a bit arbitrary plenty are taken without certainly short ones.

doubledeckerderek 7 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February Really poor from Marriner. Turned his back on the action and was starting to whistle looking into the stands. The ref has got to be looking at where the ball is at all times
Corky 14,460 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February Why did he stop the play after blowing his whistle the first time?

TheUltimateWinner 6,726 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February Hmmm that's a strange one As a ref, if you don't want to allow a quick free kick, you'd explicitly say to the person taking the free kick, wait for my whistle. However, with the events that happened (ie. kicking the ball just before the ref blows his whistle) he has no choice but to disallow it.
Corky 14,460 Posted 23 February Report Share Posted 23 February This game also proves why you shouldn't lay a new pitch during the season.

I don't know how we're supposed to kick it out the game when players consistently do it without getting booked.
