What he's achieving with some very average players is very impressive. Or would it be more difficult for him to get more technical, higher quality players to run themselves into the ground like this Leeds team do? A lot of their game plan seems to be based on being fitter than the opposition. As a result, they always seem to be able to get overloads all over the pitch. problem in the past as with bilbao and Marseille is his teams fall off a cliff fitness wise late in the season will be interesting to see if that happens again or they stay the course at this level. wolves proved you can bank in a do a number on them though, thats bielsa teams heel a low block

Couldn't disagree more, it's far harder to instill the motivation to commit that many forward in the last seconds of the game when it's already won.

Ok and is it hard to install showboating also when the game is won...? It is very easy to commit because to a agree its not manager driven but the players on the pitch running away with the moment, take Spurs 3 nil up u think Jose would have been impressed with them bombing forward to end up 3:3? He would have went berserk at them at FT that is no way a manager would want his players to manage a game that is a fans view of managing a game!
Arkie Bennett 550 Posted 24 October 2020 Report Share Posted 24 October 2020 Hoddle talking out of his arse, saying Man City will enjoy the large pitch. It's actually slightly smaller than at the Etihad.

Our midfield isnt energetic or mobile enough to cope with the numbers they get forward. We'd have to have a very very precise day in possession. Errrm, you mean, just like Man.city.. rachhere 1,864 Posted 24 October 2020 Report Share Posted 24 October 2020 This league is so wide open this year isn't it - Liverpool are going to struggle so much without VVD, Man City no where near their levels of previous seasons. Shame we are struggling so much with injuries.
irishfoxkev 314 Posted 24 October 2020 Report Share Posted 24 October 2020 Perfect example there of bad refereeing in PL.....Minimal contact on Mahrez who goes down screaming...AnthonybTaylor buys it and gives free kick....The ref we had on Thursday would have told Mahrez to man up and wave play on
RowlattsFox 2,210 Posted 24 October 2020 Report Share Posted 24 October 2020 Great strength and finish from Antonio. But no way a looping cross like that should land right at him.
RowlattsFox 2,210 Posted 24 October 2020 Report Share Posted 24 October 2020 Thats why players go down, ridiculous not to get a yellow card.

Man City get away with so many tactical fouls like this and then they have the audacity to moan about everyone else.

Finnegan 26,224 Posted 24 October 2020 Report Share Posted 24 October 2020 (edited) To be honest, of all the weird shit happening in the world in 2020, Antonio, Calvert Lewin and ****ing Bamford being productive premier league goal scorers is by far and away the strangest. It's no wonder Rodgers has recalled Slimani, he obviously recognises we're living in opposite world. Edited 24 October 2020 by Finnegan
