There has never been a bottle job like this in Premier League history. 5 wins out of 18 in 2020. A truly catastrophic run of form heading in to the new season in just six weeks. How confident are we that Rodgers can pick us up from this? Major questions need to be asked. If this form continues he could be gone by October IMO. Also questions for the owners, where was the investment in January as it was clear as day even then that our squad depth is horrible? We surely need to scrap the sell-to-buy policy and get some depth and quality in. Sure we have to pay over the odds as it's always been difficult convincing players to move to the Leicester area but it's clear major investment is needed. To me, this is all on Brendon. He could not see problems and was too blindsided when it comes to certain players. We had a good start but then we were found out. Brendon had no answers except to make us play even more conservatively to try to hold on. He kept trying to fit square pegs through round holes. He insisted on playing Chilwell and back-passing; playing Maddison in deep position when he is better near upfront; if not for the injuries he may not have changed team and formation. Last few games have been better, but it has just not been good enough in 2020. I will give him benefit of doubt for another 6 months but if the backpassing one dimensional slow build up style returns, then we will know he is all hype. Popular Post Cardiff_Fox 6,052 Posted 26 July 2020 Popular Post Report Share Posted 26 July 2020 Are people really saying we bent over? We completely neutralised the best player in the league since the restart. Players like Justin today were superb considering their in experience. We had three good chances - you can bemoan Kelechi’s sub but he completely pissed two great chances up the wall. Mistakes were made at Bournemouth and Watford.

Katy 416 Posted 26 July 2020 Report Share Posted 26 July 2020 (edited) Not sure what’s happened to Evans these past few games. Kasper needs to stop doing that shit. Hamza 🤦🏻♀️ I mean, we could’ve been Watford or Bournemouth today and that’s my way of dealing with the second half of this season. If we carry this form over to next season then we will be. I thought we played alright, we need to practice putting chances away though which is the obvious thing to say but something does seem to be amiss with us 😕 Edited 26 July 2020 by Katy
NotTheMarketLeader 1,362 Posted 26 July 2020 Report Share Posted 26 July 2020 Nothing against the lad Hirst, but it’s a weird manager who when needing goals takes off Ian (who is playing well) bring on the aforementioned Hirst AND ****ing Perez. I would expect Ian to be putting in a transfer request which I could totally understand. Tactically I at least have discovered Rodgers is inept

Lad1966 43 Posted 26 July 2020 Report Share Posted 26 July 2020 If and buts ... missed all our injured players throughout the season. When an important player got injured we had no one good enough to replace them. Ricky was a big miss. Even when we won the league we had very few injuries so our squad wasn’t tested. Bring quality players with the right mental attitude is vital. I think BR as said that the having players with right mentality as important as skill. I thing after the restart we lacked leaders, Someone to take a game by the balls! Overall this season has been a good one and if we learn from the lesson of this season I am very optimistic for the future. Just a word on some promising young players, who I think will have great futures Thomas and James -they’ve been brilliant! Keep The Faith

Jonezy 581 Posted 26 July 2020 Report Share Posted 26 July 2020 Actually thought the gameplan was decent and it could have gone either way. But of course we make the mistake as flippin always. We really lack some quality when the shit matters; a free Morgan hitting air in their box is just so us right now. Evans and Schmeichel, our so called experiened pros both losing their discipline at the end makes me more frustrated than the rest of the game. Seriously what was that.... But we were up against a team that gets almost every 50/50 decison (seriously they got a freekick on very single setpiece into their box, but the big Rashford chance in the 1st half came after JJ got absolutely mullered and nothing) and can buy a world class midfielder in january to team up with the most expensive defender and the most expensive midfielder in world football. Hopefully we learn from this and can get some quality into the team. We have a decent team here, but they really do not handle pressure very well.

Blue-fox 339 Posted 26 July 2020 Report Share Posted 26 July 2020 We set up to nick a 1-0. Good idea for the first half but should have switched it up a bit at half time. These last few weeks show us a lot about the players and the will to win. For example today Barnes comes on and hides for 30 minutes after missing a great chance. Tielemens went missing in another big game. Perez came on and didn’t really get involved. We need bigger characters not necessarily better technicians. I thought our two best players today were Justin and Ndidi. and I thought Thomas had a good game considering it was his 3rd match. His crossing is so much better than Chilwells it’s mad.
