So the young lad was born in Thailand, but has represented France at youth level. Does anyone know where his allegiances lie?
Without disrespecting Thai football, I can’t think of a single Thai footballer to be playing in any of the big leagues around the world.

You’d have to assume that if he wanted to play international football for Thailand, being in a Premier League squad would have to get him a call up at the very least.

Thailand are doing okay in their qualifying group for the World Cup (still a couple more group stages before qualification) but if they win their final 3 games they could still go through - and qualify for the Asian Cup at the same time.

He could be the difference in some close games.

I imagine the chance to represent France at youth level is something as a young player you don’t really turn down if the chance is offered to you. Doesn’t appear to have played for the youth teams since 2017 though so you would think if he wanted an international career he would look at representing Thailand

Only player I can really think of is Kawin Thamsatchanan who is backup keeper at Leuven, was actually their record signing for just over £1m when he first joined them

But you are correct, they don’t really have any player presence outside of Thailand, their entire national team is made up of players from the Thai league except one player from Japans 2nd tier

We should definitely keep an eye on 18 year old Suphanat Mueanta from Buriram United, kid is quality on Football Manager

4-2 win. 1 goal and 2 assists for Alves

I've just watched them on his dad's FB page (is this you?! lol) and am so excited by Will Alves development. He's really exciting to watch. I fancy him to come all the way through to the first team in time.

saw it mentioned on Twitter that Tyreese Shade was now training with the first team

Has been doing on and off for the last 2 months. Plus the U23's haven't had a game for a few weeks.

@Ric Flair Will Alves uploaded some clips of himself from todays game on his Instagram story, kid has some really good skill with the ball!

Yeah, he looks obscene. Just hope he has the game management needed to prosper too but seems a very talented kid.

Another Goal Keeper?

https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2021/04/12/report-leicester-could-complete-first-summer-signing-this-week-talks-under-way/

Leicester City could tie up a deal for Hartlepool United goalkeeper Brad Young this week after the talented shot-stopper travelled to the Midlands for talks, as reported by The Sun (11 April, page 67).

Young by name, young by nature, the Sunderland-born glovesman would certainly be ‘one for the future’ at a club that specialises in intelligent, long-term acquisitions.

The Sun reports the Hartlepool starlet, who was called up to represent England U19s during the March international break, has already been at Leicester to undergo negotiations with the Premier League outfit.

Young is also reported to have spent time training with Brendan Rodgers’ side.

And it’s understood the non-league starlet could officially become a Leicester player this week, with Hartlepool unlikely to stand in his way.

It remains to be seen how much Leicester would have to pay for Young’s signature, however.

A few weeks ago, the Hartlepool Mail reported Young has a contract beyond this summer, although it’s unknown how long that deal is.

Young came close to joining Chelsea in 2020 and, if he does complete a move to the King Power, is likely to initially represent the club’s U18 and U23 sides.
