Maybe that's why the U23's got thrashed 1-6, too much hand beating over the womens team.

Anyone know any names though? It's been kept very private and the bbc sports correspondent apparently didnt or wouldn't mention them.

...is this a typo...just that I have not heard that term before!!!

It’s disappointing, they’re on the verge of a league title and promotion out of a league that will be increasingly difficult to get out of over the coming years. They shouldn’t be jeopardising this, it’ll be a shame if the backlash from this has a negative impact on team and its performance/promotion.

13 Leicester City players given Covid fines after teammate throws house party
20 people were reportedly at the event

Thirteen Leicester City footballers have been given Covid-19 fines for attending a house party thrown by a player.

The group which attended the gathering included 10 players from the Foxes’ women’s team, three from the club’s Under-23 men’s side and two from Birmingham City women’s squad.

The rule-breaking event, which was reportedly attended by 20 people, was held at the home of top scorer Natasha Flint last Saturday, reports The Mirror.

A Leicester City spokesman said: "The club was extremely disappointed to learn of this breach, which had the potential to undermine the extensive work of club staff to provide our professional teams with safe environments in which to train and play.

"Moreover, such behaviour undermines the national effort in which our communities continue to play their part, making daily personal sacrifices to control the spread of the virus.

"It is in this context that we set high behavioural standards for our personnel which, in this instance, have not been met.

"Our response to the matter will be concluded internally.”

Birmingham City said its two players had been suspended “pending an internal investigation”.

Leicester City are top of the Women’s Championship and tipped to join the lucrative Super League next season.

Completely agree.  So irresponsible.  Can't see their uninvited teammates being impressed.

Putting it lightly! It was mentioned in one of the reports about it too (Telegraph I think) but yeah it’s not going down well here or at Brum.

Not great PR, but I am loath to criticise anyone now for getting together with workmates they are already in a bubble with.  Meh.

They were with lads from the Under-23s and also players from other clubs.

It's totally irresponsible.

I mean it is stupid, and bad PR, and they should expect to get punished by their employer, but lets be honest they are not risking any more that the players who are playing twice a week against other teams already.  No need to get all moral high ground over a bunch of bored young adults.

Now that we've gone professional and had an influx of new players having mostly played in the WSL. How much does the LCFC Womens "Professional" players get paid as a rough average?

It surely must also be an added expense both retaining as well as running a second training ground for the club that in itself is hardly a mediocre training centre as well as support staff etc. Quite an added cost for the club.

....there is a lot of people out there who see this pandemic as something made up by the Government, either because they have no experience of anyone directly, or indirectly affected by it!!!

We do not know the mindset of the individuals who set this up but at one point you would have thought that they would have thought, this went against the present Government instructions and supposedly chose to ignore it. It is not just about them,( I suspect how they would have view it is, that it is there risk to take) but it is not, the knock on effect is we are affected by there decisions as well.

So there’s one promotion place. Six games left. We’re joint first (with a game in hand). And we play in two hours.

Really need to win today as we have Durham away next week

Absolutely agree. The word professional, when applied to this group of people is questionable. When ladies football is, after many years, getting more attention media wise and interest from the public, then this bunch of chumps put the term 'professional' in ladies football back somewhat. I don't know what interest LCFC as a club have in the ladies set up, financial or otherwise, but their actions besmirch the broader LCFC name somewhat, seemingly without much care. It would serve them right if any financial or other support was withdrawn. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, what a bunch of empty heads with no consideration for anyone but themselves. What an advert for young girls.
