3-0 up against the second bottom team and still no sign of Under.

Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get any minutes again this season.

Yeah, with Albrighton, Praet, Perez and Ricardo also on the bench, unless there is any injury concern, it does seem his minutes will be very limited this season.

I guess simply put, minus a few Sparks, he hasn't produced what we were hoping for. Must be the same in training given Rodger's lack of using him.

I forgot he was even an option last night, would have been great to see him against a shocking West Brom. He'd have had a field day with that much space, shame.

I think he is like so many others that we signed , who were never given a run of games to prove themselves, yes he needs to work on the defensive side of his game , but what we have seen he can be a very dangerous player and has a rocket in that left foot

Player have to force themselves into the manager thinking, hasn't done enough in the minutes had to give the manager a selection problem.

So why is he on the bench?

Because players get named on the bench every week and never get on the pitch and eventually leave. Maybe we have options from the youth set up, but Rodgers would rather the play in the U23 games than sit on the bench. He's basically filling a gap.

It seems Cengiz is confined permanently to the bench. He is named in the squad but never gets onto the pitch

no matter how desperate we are for width. He looked good at Arsenal and Leeds but something has marked his

card regarding his relationship with Rodgers.Shame it has not worked out but Roma will be his next port of call

In the next few weeks. Appears to be a similar situation that affected Demari Gray regarding Rodgers

He'd have been better off staying at Roma.

I'm not saying he was he right change last night or even that he'd have done anything but it was worth a go, clearly wasn't working what we were doing.

We only decided to give it a go after going 1-0 down, then we finally decided to go forward with intent, instead of the sloppy sideways and backwards nonsense, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome that we were doing in the previous 60 minutes.

Report: Roma to Name Maurizio Sarri as Next Manager

The Corriere dello Sport  leans hard into the Maurizio Sarri to Roma rumors, claiming that he will be Fonseca's replacement.

While Sarri will welcome the return of Cengiz Ünder and Nicolo Zaniolo, a legitimate number nine to replace Edin Dzeko will likely be the top transfer priority. The CdS lists Dusan Vlahovic and Andrea Belotti as Roma's top targets, though they will certainly face stiff competition for either forward.

I think he has been unlucky, going on loan during covid is tougher than normal, and the market volatility makes him look quite pricey compared to alternatives.

Look how Kelachi's career has been shaped by finally getting a good run in the team. I'm sure Cengiz is quality, but sadly it won't be for us by the looks of it. Those assists for Vards (when Under first arrived) were fine moments.

Mother Sox has been watching City for 60 years and her opinions on players/managers tend to be right. She says that he looks well off Premier League standard and would be surprised if we end up buying him. Only time will tell!

Sadly Mother Sox passed away in March - she called this one right as she so often did. Hopefully she enjoyed the FA Cup win from her lofty position.
