AKCJ 14,939 Posted 27 November 2020 Report Share Posted 27 November 2020 Anyone been able to find anything worth having in the mountains of rubbish?
Blue and white 245 Posted 27 November 2020 Report Share Posted 27 November 2020 Was hoping for a good price on a new iPhone but only managed to find it £20 off so far https://amzn.to/3l5ZttW
Hollism94 22 Posted 27 November 2020 Report Share Posted 27 November 2020 Went to order some hair straighteners for the missus' Christmas present and found them to be £20 cheaper compared to earlier this week, so that's handy. I don't think there are any deals amazing enough to justify buying something you wouldn't have bought at full price any more. This thread may well prove me wrong of course.

A couple of things I was going to buy last week but didn't get round to have handily been reduced which is nice, as I would have bought them anyway at full price. The Fox Covert 209 Posted 27 November 2020 Report Share Posted 27 November 2020 Absolute con. I saw something which would be useful a stocking filler type present and thought the price at £9.95 was a bit steep. Had a quick look on eBay and, exactly the same item was £4.95 with free postage. yorkie1999 4,471 Posted 27 November 2020 Report Share Posted 27 November 2020 Black friday roulette. Find something that's cheaper somewhere else and post it in the comments. Passes the time.
Strokes 10,071 Posted 27 November 2020 Report Share Posted 27 November 2020 You did use to get good deals on power tools and hand tools from Amazon on Black Friday. Having looked today, it’s really not much cop.

Innovindil 2,850 Posted 27 November 2020 Report Share Posted 27 November 2020 Was actually looking forward to some decent deals today with the way things have been. Expected a lot of unsold stock to get reduced but it's been garbage. Even SteelSeries hasn't come to the rescue... 50% off a lot of things except the one thing I'm after. Samilktray 3,900 Posted 27 November 2020 Report Share Posted 27 November 2020 Got some decent deals on clothes but otherwise it’s all a bit crap. Some good bits to be had if you can actually be arsed to put the effort in
Costock_Fox 11,697 Posted 27 November 2020 Report Share Posted 27 November 2020 Got some beer that was a bit cheaper from Tiny Rebel.

This was the one I went for: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003XITW7I/ The girls at work assured me that Cloud Nine and GHD are the best brands if you can stomach the price. It seems mental because I'm sure the one you're looking at is equally good, but I don't know the first thing about them so took their advice

foxile5 2,417 Posted 27 November 2020 Report Share Posted 27 November 2020 Curious phenomenon. At least in America there were, at points, deals to be had. Why the British have decided to take this on - and it has been a concerted effort from public and corporations to adopt this - then decided to not actually bother with the discounts is baffling. Another crass Americanism that we aren't doing properly.
