Devonfox1884 826 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 I seem to remember similar reaction to the West Ham team last season... A couple more changes than I’d have liked to see, but not surprising given the circumstances, and we should at least be a lot fresher than them.

Doesn't look a great side but we thought that about West Ham away last season. We have enough up front to create. Makes you wonder. If Palace play the same team they did Saturday, will they be so knackered that they're worse than effectively our second eleven?
Vazman 134 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 Come on the Foxes. l have no fingernails left after the Man Utd game, so let's hope for a good win, otherwise Molly the dog will have no claws left...
fox_favourite 454 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 Right now/lose/draw - Ah pants We win - what a master stroke from Rodgers

harpendenfox 1,313 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 A point today and a win at Newcastle would represent an excellent Christmas campaign for us
Legend_in_blue 1,700 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 The problem with the lineup stems from the cup games where with a similar set up we end up being too passive and off the front foot. We need a high intensity performance against what should be a knackered team. I doubt this will happen though.
Jaspa 2,199 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 Similar to West Ham away last season then. What's the Palace team like?

Fox85 850 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 Full strength palace side against our reserve side. I hope we get 3 points but can't see it. Come on the foxes !
Md9 766 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 Surprised by amartey instead of cags but changes are needed I suppose. Should still do ok against these and 60 mins if we are struggling get youri and Vardy

Cengiz still suffering from a hamstring too sadly it seems. Don’t think so - Rodgers said after Utd they’d think long and hard whether Castagne could play twice in 48 hours after coming back from a severe hamstring injury 1
Dames 872 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 Palace will be bang up for this after seeing that lineup. We need to match them for intensity across the pitch.

Webbo 17,099 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 (edited) If the players get injured, you're forced to rotate anyway. It's better to pick when to play a weaker team yourself. Edited 28 December 2020 by Webbo
adam 757 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 We always seem to go over board with the changes. I doubt the other premier league sides will be playing their reserves today. If we are serious about getting in the top 4 we need to win today.
Genesis1 41 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 (edited) Didn't need two dms. Swap Hamza for Amarty and put Cags in centre back for 45/60 mins. Then change if we're winning. Edited 28 December 2020 by Genesis1

I'd imagine it isn't easy for players to recover from slight knocks and issues in a short space of time. I think 72 hours is recommended as the minimum rest time between matches.
