North Leeds Fox 565 Posted 9 January Report Share Posted 9 January Lower league team at home next round and then a lower prem team at home after would be good. Just as that would suit our EL commitments. Still think its the third on our priorities but the further we go in it, the more it will either open up or to give the larger squad a few minutes if required.
Aus Fox 8,625 Posted 9 January Report Share Posted 9 January Easiest draw possible please either Chorley or Forest at home. I’d say there is about 12 teams this season who believe they can win the Fa Cup. Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Us, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, Leeds, Everton, West Ham, Southampton and Wolves in this crazy season, where fixtures are going to pile up anything is possible. So hopefully a few of these play each other and can knock one another off. It will be interesting going into the fourth round potentially knowing who we will be playing in the 5th round. It will be interesting seeing how this affects team selection. If for example we play someone like Leeds in the fourth round knowing we face Man City or Liverpool in the 5th round, would we line up and approach differently to say if we knew it was Plymouth or Chorley in the 5th round? If we can get a bit of luck in the draw with a lower league team in R4 and R5 while some of the bigger teams play each other we could go a long way.

If he happy with that, they have bigger fish to fry than the FA Cup and although they beat us earlier in the season, I’d still expect us to progress if we got Fulham at home. Thanks Stan, I actually had a rare moment of gratitude to BBC Today for showing our fine performance on red button. Typically they then robbed viewers of what must have been the finest performance of the round. Oh well can't begrudge the smaller clubs their time on TV and maybe its just as well our superb performance was kept a bit dark.
