That whole event was a political nightmare. Teams forfeiting games on safety grounds made it a difficult tournament. Kenya carried forward points gained from New Zealand not playing there and pretty much only needed to beat Zimbabwe (who gained points from England not playing in Zimbabwe) to get through the Super Six stage, although they did beat Sri Lanka in the first group stage.

 

It was a complete mess of an event. Kenya probably wouldn't have got through if New Zealand had played the game in Kenya as New Zealand would've been heavy favourites but they qualified and made a lot of money from it.

Went out for a few hours and England were 200-1

Ridiculous batting all around. Stokes went from 50 off 40 to 93 off 49 that's just out of this world! 

 

Apart from Kumar our bowling leaves a lot to be desired sometimes.

 

Looking forward to seeing Bairstow in the IPL on this form though.

Just a small point..

 

Morgan...Root..Kohli , Will mention where things went wrong in their own game, But they all give the opposition Credit & go out their Way

to do so...It also goes down the lines of whose, sent forward for the interview...I am Not just talking about the day, But for a few seasons now...Bit

 

Many talk about how important the Ashes are...But the Indian Series red Ball & white ball, always for me bring out the better Watchable  competitions.

Since I have followed cricket ..Early 60s...!!

 

As an Anglo-saxon/Norman looking from the English side...This Kohli Driven Indian era has matured,learnt like Morgans-white-ball warriors, and IMO

are the best Indian group of players I have seen...one can always Argue over various Indian era's individuals..Bit this "group" think & Work together...Bit

 

England & India will Take some beating in in white ball cricket for the Next few seasons.....Red ball India are Nr1, But the Aussies have always found

an answer, and always will....

 

Who ever takes this series, will still know they have hard Work to do, to Keep up the high standard its

Its going to be a Cracker of a  series deciding 3rd game...
