We've got another big game on Tuesday. Hopefully it will be better by then. It isn't about blaming anyone, just noting something. Exactly. Our pitches for years have been fantastic no matter what the conditions. I don't think anyone is moaning at the pitch, just pointing out that it's a bit if a surprise that it's not the pristine quality we're used to seeing it. I'm sure there's a hundred reasonable explanations as to why, but it doesn't stop people spotting it!

Mostly likely cause - under soil heating really aren’t the best thing to use cos they quickly make pitches go muddy There has been an issue across English football this season with the pitches though - a lot putting it down to the lack of maintenance during the off season and having rush their ‘programmes’

Wortho 974 Posted 17 January Report Share Posted 17 January If you thought ours was bad did you see the Elland Road pitch, that looked awful.
adejo92 1,170 Posted 17 January Report Share Posted 17 January I've seen a lot worse pitches this season at other grounds but it did strike me yesterday how poor ours looked. I think we are so used to having arguably one of the best pitches in the league, it stands out more when we have a few imperfections. I know we have had some atrocious weather, and the time of year, but will be interesting to see the pitches at Old Trafford & Emirates etc. Still, I think we are just spoilt with our pitch. Especially when we used to have a lawn mowing Banksy enthusiast.
irishfoxkev 350 Posted 19 January Report Share Posted 19 January Haven’t checked the weather for Leicester today but if you have the deluge of rain seen in Ireland for the last 36 hours it will probably cut up badly and look rough again

Foxin_Mad 708 Posted 20 January Report Share Posted 20 January The Man City pitch looked pretty poor. Think the weather can't be helping the Midlands/northern teams.

He’s the manger of all three sites. One of my close friends works at the new training ground and one of my close friends is the head groundsman at belvoir drive.
