Finnegan 26,891 Posted 22 January Report Share Posted 22 January 1 hour ago, Ric Flair said: I was shocked to see the sort of wages Inter are paying players, especially given we are regularly beating AC to players which I assume is down to wages? They both got new Chinese investors over the last few years and have slowly been on the way back. The difference is that Inter's lot actually looked competent and recruitment looked a lot better, AC up until recently have been buying absolute pump. It had been looking like the buyers (who borrowed massively to take control) might not quite have the clout they first appeared to. This was confirmed when they defaulted on their loans from an American hedge fund which then took ownership. From that point, they've turned it around quite a lot and the current Serie A table isn't all that surprising.
turlo 97 Posted 23 January Report Share Posted 23 January Could we be trying to sign Otavio now for a smallish fee? Rodgers said in the PC yesterday they would like to bring in an attacking midfielder “I think in this window if we could bring in an attacking midfield player, that would be fantastic,” said Rodgers at his press conference ahead of the FA Cup fourth-round tie at Brentford. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/brendan-rodgers-sets-out-leicester-4918894

I was thinking David Oldfield and Wayne Clarke but that was probably the back in Pleat’s time here as “manager” Mike Newell went to Everton & we got Wayne Clarke. Oldfield came from Man City. Edit: Clarke went to Man City in a swap with Oldfield. I didn't remember that. Edited 25 January by Brenfox

I mean I’ve only read that one so know clue and I am so not in the know But at either cost not huge layout for hopefully a decent squad player. Must really want cover for Praet if we don’t wanna wait for the free transfer.

Hence why AC Milans bid was rejected for 5m

Lol Best offer from Arabia was 4.5m a year (unconfirmed whether £ or €), if GBP that’s around £85000 a week, if Euros it’s around £75000 a week. First offer from Milan was 2.2m a year, roughly half of that. Edited 25 January by City1884

Work permits issues but he has just made his debut for Denmark, I'm convinced he will go somewhere like Ajax or Atalanta and be unreal.

He's wrong loads of times. So many players he said we'd bid for (e.g. Watkins, Ruben Diaz, McNeil) we weren't after and he got it wrong on Chilwell, saying he's staying just before the Telegraph reported a deal had been agreed with Chelsea. That said, he does get it right very occasionally on signings, for example Under. But if you have lots of guesses/report what's been rumoured in other publications, then you're bound to get one correct. Only thing he consistently gets correct is the team line ups.
