Vestan Pance 374 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February Arsenal won't have an easier game all season. Enough chances for Nacho now please, let's stop feeling sorry for him and ship him out.
RowlattsFox 2,636 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February Really tough watch, the dip in confidence is uncomfortable and played that second half like we felt sorry for ourselves. Injuries bad yes but we were shit before Barnes went off. Passive and spend too much energy running side to side and not on the ball. This style is catching up with us. Well only be a top side when we can control games with the ball. Just poor all round.
ARTY_FOX 1,705 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February Absolutely diabolical gameplan from Rogers. Hideous football. They're so shakey off the ball we had to take control of the game and get on the front foot. Hope the injuries aren't too serious. Barnes doesn't look good. Awful day really. Because arsenal are terrible.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner 872 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February The day couldn’t of got any worse, not only did we lose to a second string arsenal side we’ve lost Evans & Barnes too.

RonnieTodger 3,771 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February Just awful. You can blame injuries and fatigue, but we completely gave up when the third went in. As an aside, I like Castagne but he seems an odd season if he’s still going to play at RB instead of Ricardo and Justin.

yorkie1999 4,777 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February If I were Brendan I’d forfeit the game cup and refuse to play for 3 weeks. If we’re gonna keep losing players and still lose the matches, we’d be better off not playing, getting the players back and let other teams risk their players.

HighPeakFox 12,214 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February (edited) Some of the cognitive dissonance in here is clanging - I can forgive everyone what's happened/happening. lgfualol 10,309 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February Just a sad, sad game to watch. I fear I have witnessed the team give up for the season.
Buce 12,245 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February If there's one thing the last two games have shown us, it's that we don't need to fear Rodgers being poached by a top club. Poor performance all round and the buck stops with Rodgers.

Popular Post The People's Hero 2,298 Posted 28 February Popular Post Report Share Posted 28 February We are having an unbelievable season. We need to grind out results now with what is left. Vardy needs a rest. He needs to be allowed to recover and come back as himself. But seriously, we are still having a brilliant season. Still chance of top 4 and FA Cup; but we absolutely must just show mental strength now. Anyone expecting buccaneering and high pressing football; please please just re-adjust your expectations. These guys are human and whilst other teams can rotate, we no longer can. This is now a 'hanging in there' job. 15

This is nothing like last year, this season we've been excellent even with all the injuries. Players / teams deserve some stick when they've been poor, but that's not the case for us. No matter where we finish this season, we're in this situation due to injuries - not weak mentality. That's the spirit. Although we've been pretty poor recently, we've been decimated by injuries and it's pretty hard to take especially when Barnes, Justin and even Maddison are hitting the form of their careers. Popular Post Pliskin 2,954 Posted 28 February Popular Post Report Share Posted 28 February (edited) Devastating day. Barnes looks to be done for a long, long time. The season has finally caught up with us. As far as I’m concerned that’s it, top four is done, as is probably the top six too. But I’m not going to blame Rodgers for it, I’m going to applaud the efforts made, some of the comments are shameful, these lads have run their bollocks off so far this season, and unfortunately I think they’re run a mile too far, we look knackered beyond belief and look to have had the life sucked out of us. It has been a damning few weeks for the club, and the ridiculous season has taken its toll. Look at how we’ve coped compared to Liverpool, they’ve got much more depth than we have yet have faired far worse, there’s nothing to be overly embarrassed about, and there’s certainly no need to start slagging off the owners @FoxFossil we don’t have the resources the likes of United, City and Chelsea have, we’ve given it our all this season but it was probably always going to collapse if we couldn’t keep keep players fit. JJ and Barnes’s I injuries can’t be helped they’re freak injuries, we’ve just endured a period of rotten luck. Im proud of the boys, but I’m also devastated at the same time. There’s still a flicker of hope, but I think that we’ve fallen off the knifes edge unfortunately. Edited 28 February by Pliskin 4
Hammo 1,835 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February Last season our decline from the top four was like watching a loved one slowly perish. But always with the hope of a happy ending. It will be unbearable to have to go through that again. I desperately hope for good news on Harvey, but the way our luck has gone with injuries I fear the worst. What a horrible horrible day.

fazzyfox 3,871 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February If they'd all shown Albrighton's effort and willingness to have the ball we'd have had at least a draw. There will rarely be an easier 3 points earned in Premier League history, that was a training exercise for Arsenal. I say it again if a player is refusing to show for the ball or make a run in the first quarter of the match then Soyuncu is screaming out for options WTF are they doing out there. Would we be punished if we fielded the U23's this weekend as a protest at Kick off times / schedules? All we've "got out" of the game is two more injuries and yet more fatigue, may as well lose a couple more goals in return for resting the players. Get well soon Harvey. Bert 6,857 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February Castagne is better at left back. Ricardo is better at right back. Penalty before half time killed us. Nothing really went for us at all either. Decisions, injuries. Be surprised if that’s not Barnes for the season.
Langston 1,978 Posted 28 February Report Share Posted 28 February Wasn't really looking forward to this regardless but that was just incredibly deflating. Can't be bothered to finger point, just praying Barnes is alright.
