League table, different view

League table, assuming just an 8 game season. Top 4 Champions League, maybe just top 3.

Updated after Everton 2-2 Tottenham result.

Position Team Played Points         GD                    Goals                scored
1 Man City 2 30 44 67
2 Man Utd 1 19 27 61
3 Leicester City 1 12 18 55
4 West Ham 1 11 12 51
5 Chelsea 1 10 19 50
6 Liverpool 1 8 16 53
7 Tottenham 2 6 17 54
8 Everton 1 5 3 43
9 Arsenal 1 1 8 43
10 Leeds 1 1 0 49
11 Aston Villa 0 0 10 43

Can you give us a bit more of an explanation as to what this table is suppose to demonstrate please? Looks like you've subtracted 44 points off everyone and 30 games off everyone but I'm missing the logic as to why.

No idea what this is, but 30 points from an 8 game season is craycray

lol

I think I've just worked it out.

It shows exactly the same as you'd get from just looking at the top 11 as it is now though. I don't really see the point at all haha

Someone's hit the ale hard this morning

No, I get it, it's points difference from Villa at 11th, like showing a gap or handicap between the clubs, I do think the gaps between them are easier to consider in terms of their achieve-ability / danger of happening than by looking at the normal table even though the mathematical calculation would be the same. I get it. I think.

I think I get the intent. If you use Aston Villa as the 'base point' - i.e. 8 games left of the season for them, and start them on zero points - and make the same adjustment to every team above them then you get a somewhat comparable view of what remains for each side, points differences that need catching up, games in hand etc.

Of course, that same view is also achieved by looking at the normal table, so this doesn't really add anything whatsoever...

Putting draws after losses in any table should be a criminal offence.

Awful :kingy:
