RobHawk 1,203 Posted 27 December 2020 Report Share Posted 27 December 2020 More for next year as it's a Christmas film, but jingle jangle on Netflix is one of the best Christmas films I've seen in years, well worth a watch.
FOXYTALK 257 Posted 28 December 2020 Report Share Posted 28 December 2020 Coco good film on Christmas Day. You can watch on the Iplayer. 8/10. Good music and telling storylines about dementia not easy when pitched at children /families.

The Bear 3,876 Posted 30 December 2020 Report Share Posted 30 December 2020 Anyone have any films that you rated really, really highly but haven't actually seen in years? Two immediately come to mind for me. 21 Grams and All About My Mother (Almodovar film) I gave them both 9/10 or 10/10 after seeing them, but that was about 20 years ago and I still haven't re-watched either of them since. I might just try and find them both for this week actually.
ajthefox 2,576 Posted 30 December 2020 Report Share Posted 30 December 2020 Watched All the Bright Places on Netflix last night - loved it. Won't be everybody's cup of tea but it tackles some mental health issues beautifully and hit a chord with me particularly (it made me cry) for that reason.

Pretty sure it was an excellent film.

Yeah, big fan of Leon, watched it loads of times. I think Nicolas Cage based his career on Gary Oldman's overacting tour de force. Have you seen the Director's Cut? It's a very different film.

It's a bit slow going and not a lot really happens.... The other 3 people watching it had a lovely kip, I persevered in the hope it would develop but was disappointed. One for die hard Clooney fans or insomniacs.

Wasyls Pec Deck 582 Posted 1 January Report Share Posted 1 January Watched a film the other day starring the holy trinity of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Vinnie Jones. Can’t remember the name but it was about Sly and Arny escaping from an inescapable prison. Pretty gormless viewing but ok.
