Floating Fox Posted 31 August 2006 Share Posted 31 August 2006 don't think makes much difference Cause it does, The ticket's would'a been a lot cheaper if it were a fans fixture
Guest Posted 1 September 2006 Share Posted 1 September 2006 I believe that the opposing team needs to agree if the game is to be a fans fixture. This could be wrong, but I'm sure that this was the excuse given before.
john_lcfc Posted 1 September 2006 Share Posted 1 September 2006 how the fock can colchester not be a fans fixture. it doesnt affect me a season ticket holder but i think indirectly it does because the game isnt as good when half the ground is empty. be lucky to get 19,000 for this. Tommeh Posted 1 September 2006 Share Posted 1 September 2006 We got 19,000 for Southend didn't we? Colchester won't bring half as many as southend though. They get 4,000 most home matches! It should deffo be a fans fixture!!! As a ST I don't actually have a problem with fans fixtures.
The Don Posted 1 September 2006 Share Posted 1 September 2006 They are giving a load of tickets to people living in aylestone - near the training ground. This is due to a noisy yoga session or some thing like that!!
Darren27 Posted 1 September 2006 Share Posted 1 September 2006 Well me and the wife will be there and well be paying full price, so that will help fill the place up.

TAFKA Castroneves Posted 2 September 2006 Share Posted 2 September 2006 That rules me out for going then I was hoping it would be a fans fixture so i could afford it with travel and all.
Bert Posted 2 September 2006 Share Posted 2 September 2006 If we carry on winning the ground will gradually fill up with all them people back on the bandwagon. So not to worry.

Dr The Singh Posted 12 September 2006 Author Share Posted 12 September 2006 I will not be going, paying £20 (not including the beer money etc)for this game is abit too expensive. At a tenner definitely would have went, if results do not go city's way before the game, I can imagine a very poor attendance!!!
lcfc_jme Posted 12 September 2006 Share Posted 12 September 2006 Wise words spoken by a wise man. Colchester isn't the glitzy, glamour fixture of the season for us by any stretch of the word, so I think they should have put this down as a fans fixture. Would have helped revive attendances a little I feel
syston_fox Posted 12 September 2006 Share Posted 12 September 2006 I dont think the opposition determines which game will be a fans fixture but more the time of year. I remember in the final season at filbert street, the match against Derby was a special "Kids for a quid" promotion scheme.... worst £1 Ive ever spent I think! Maybes Posted 12 September 2006 Share Posted 12 September 2006 its a bit of a joke really. I remember the first season in the walkers we had around 5 fans fixtures. The past few seasons we have hardly had any.
lcfc_jme Posted 12 September 2006 Share Posted 12 September 2006 It'd make more sense having fans fixtures, especially with attendances in decline. It'd encourage people to go down, as it won't cost them nearly as much, and, with a fuller stadium our team may actually decide to perform in order to keep people in there

syston_fox Posted 12 September 2006 Share Posted 12 September 2006 But then more kids will be there and people will start moaning again about how they're spoiling the atmosphere and how we have to watch what we say..... Leicester fans really are a bunch of moaners aren't we!
lcfc_jme Posted 12 September 2006 Share Posted 12 September 2006 good shout...adult £10 kids £5 the stadium would be a lot fuller. I'd say so. People aren't willing to pay the asking prices to go and watch football as poor as what we're offering atm, especially against "lesser" teams. Knock the prices down a little bit for normal games, and even further down for fans fixtures (as you have done) and we'd get more people in, I'm sure of it.. It isn't rocket science, but our marketing team make it seem that way.

lcfc_jme Posted 13 September 2006 Share Posted 13 September 2006 Colchester must fancy their chances..... So must Hereford!!!!!!! <_< Both quite true, and I don't think we have anybody but ourselves (as in the team, not me and you) to blame for other teams considering us as a joke and taking us lightly nowadays. We don't perform well enough, we can't finish, we can't defend convincingly, we get beat. It's as simple as that.
