Counties think they can poach our players at will.  In this context, should we be worried that Chappell missed the Derbyshire game? Or was her injured/ rested?

He missed the game due to Injury. However did play in the seconds as just a batsman.

Was great to walk past the dressing room last night and hear the whole team singing. Real togetherness in the squad, and every win seems to mean so much to them.

Just hope we can do our best to ward off as many approaches as we can.

Great win!

I would agree Raine is a must keep. He is such a good player.

I am surprised about Chapple bags of ability but the most CC games he has ever played on the bounce  is 3. That is concerning. He should stay and play. He may not elsewhere.

The next 2 championship games will be huge back to back games against Kent.Understand the club have offered Carberry 70k to avert legal action which has been turned down

Any idea on how much we are paying Carberry?

Pettini frozen out for any reason or just not fancied?

So he loses the captaincy and feels hurt, I get that, but then doesn’t turn up for work? Surely he is in breach of contract and in any other workplace would simply be sacked.

Far more to it then that the contract he signed was as player captain with a clause in the contract that if  he lost the captaincy he would be on a reduced salary.Carbs feels the captaincy was taken away unfairly with no good reason given

Any idea about others who have been approached by other Counties? Raine, Chappel and Dexter all been mentioned.

Would say that the upturn in performance since he lost the captaincy says it all !!

Thought when we signed him, it was a risky move. A lot more ego than talent !

The improvement had actually started when Carbs was captain beat Glamorgan should have beat Durham and played well against Sussex and Derby.

Been told one other player been approached. Not sure who but would have thought Gavin Griffiths the most likely really has bowled well this season

That don't mean nothing Taylor was still under contract when he joined Notts

Of course it does, Notts had to buy Taylor’s contract out, don’t really see anyone buying Griffith’s contract out do you?

Could be Eckersley.

Hard to think who it may be really. Eckersley I can't see to many wanting him to be fair, injured and seldom scores big runs. Could be Parkinson. Good White ball bowler.
