Am i the only one who thinks Nico's form is really strugling the the captincy. I feel his keeping suffered last season and so far this season his batting has not been to great.

I also don't think he's the best captain either. I've not been to any games yet, but from seeing how games have panned out, he seems to be reactive rather than proactive in the field. There have been a couple of FP games where we have had a chance to take them by the scruff of the neck and bring back O'Brien or one of the other opening bowlers. But he seems to let it meander along and hope that there is still something to play for when he brings them back at the death.

Nico needs to retire tbh... he has been a great servent but id rather see Tom New at number 6 and get another opener in. I agree with the comments about his captaincy, i guess Allenby will take over when he retires ?

They have Allenby as vice Captain and the moment, with McDonald taking ovet that role next season. So it looks like Nico will retire this season. I personally dont think a wicket keeper is a good postion to be captain from. So would like to see Aleenby be given it with Harris who has really imprssed me as vice captain. This also would hopefully improve Nico.

I cant see them sacking him, he would spit his dummy out if you stripped him of the captaincy. Any updates of Nadeem Maliks injury seems to gone the way of Steve Clemence

Haha. I think he did his groin in in pre season so hopefully should be fit soon. Also Allenby must be coming back to fitness soon.

282/3 @5.64 an over isn't a bad effort but me thinks its a biased batting wicket and we may struggle to defend it with our inexperienced bowling line up! Nice to see our openers doing well though!
