Really don't wanna keep taking the convo away from Leicestershire but Steven Finn of Middlesex has taken 15 wickets in his two innings in his first game of the season, including 9 in his 2nd innings. Amazing.

I wanna get behind Nathan Buck who I've known for 5-6 years playing, only 18, plays for england under 19's aswell, hell of a bowler and still can't believe he's in the first team!!!

Played against him a few years ago when he was opening up for one of the Loughborough sides in Division 2, Greenfields maybe? Had an air of arrogance about him even at 14 but I guess it was justified judging by what he's up to now.

Nah mate he played for Gracedieu Park with me until about 16, then he went Loughborough Town. Arrogance isn't something I would assoicate with him either, he has always been grounded and works very hard at his game. Come to think of it I must have played in the same game, who did you play for?

Ah, Gracedieu, that's right. I was just a kid fielding for Harborough 2s at the time. Was it Gracedieu who hit 500 odd or so against Harborough a couple of years ago? Know some lads who played in that game, they were none too happy.

Didn't mean arrogance in a bad way by the way, just seemed a typical mouthy young quick bowler.

Interesting stat in the Sunday Times today, with Jefferson at 6"10 and Taylor at 5"5 we've got both the tallest and shortest players in County Cricket among our ranks.

Harborough 2s bowling line up wasn't that bad it was just a road of a surface and some lusty blows Our captain got a goldie that day as well.

Ah, Gracedieu, I remember getting a tanking there 10-15 years ago. The less than mighty Croft going for 300-350. Jamie Hart and some other bloke (merrison?) stuck about 250 on, great days!!

Yes Ian Merrison, I only played with him in his twilight years but he was still pretty destructive, a great allrounder in his youth.

Won by six wickets. What a fabulous start to the season, and lets hope this gives them real momentum. Super to see players like White really making a mark, and we have MacDonald to come!

Bit of a struggle early on, but got there in the end.

Played lads, great to start the season with a victory, and pretty convincing overall.

Great start, the bowling depth is very impressive and we should be able to bowl anyone out this year. We just have to score enough runs. McDonald and possibly Benning to come into this team looks good to me.
