What are you listening to?

I'm horrifically behind the times but this is a great uplifting tune.

The uplifting tune does somewhat jar with the woman's nobbish lyrics though.

Quote

Yeah you can write me a love letter
But there's nothing to say
I don't wanna take a chance on your paper romance anyway

I looked at the video on youtube which I am not including here because it ruins the tune.

It's mainly a women who is sporting both the heroin chic look and sexy existential crisis look. Is that still big these days? A debilitating drug habit.

Eurovision tonight.

My favourite Eurovision song (not many I've heard). Luxembourg winner from the 60s. Serge Gainsbourg was the composer.

I'm tempted to Google the phrase "serge gainsbourgh france gall" but I'm almost sure the answer is "yes of course he did he's serge gainsbourg".

I used to listen to this cassette every saturday in my teens. My dad paid me to clean his car, but I did it just to use his car stereo :)

That version of 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night' is one of the greatest covers ever. My cassette was knackered as well by the constant use.

The whole thing is easily the best live recording I have ever heard.

+1 for the record .... not for the "never been a Dylan fan" bit ;)

Highway 61 is superb and right up their with his best. Desolation Row is epic.
