Mickey O'Neil 300 Report post Posted 15 November (edited) I try to stay away from Massive Attack’s Mezzanine. But I can't. It's such a bloody good album. I've just had it on in the bath and Group Four is stonking. Black Milk is just heaven 🖤 Liz Fraser is just en-pointe. Massive Attack are so bloody good. I just needed to say that. Really disappointed with them when I saw them live, I realise groups move on but there were some glaring misses on their set list and also no encore, the lights stayed off, everyone waited for a good 5 minutes and it was pretty disappointing when the lights came on and that was it.

I need to hear more stuff like Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions. That's her name, Hope Sandoval. The Warm Inventions are one of her projects. Ive got the 2017 album 'Until The Hunter'. I'm not sure if there's a more recent one. The below track is with Kurt Vile.

Having read a few posts about Mazzy Star I gave her/them a listen, started with Among my Swan and thought it was amazing, right up my street, downloaded the other albums, perfect for a Sunday afternoon.

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson 1,505 Report post Posted 18 November My favourite live band, been lucky enough to see them a few times but this small gig just sums up the band for me, Tim Booth is such a good front man and comes into his own here. Wish I’d been there.

That's a true shame. I saw them in Hyde Park and was probably the 2nd best live gig I've seen (Deftones @Alexandra Palace my best). Horace broke his leg and they wheeled him out in a wheelchair to sing ’Angel’!!! They did Risingson which I about creamed myself over. I've caught Defrones on an off-day at Rock City and I was gutted/fuming so I know how you feel when a band doesn't live up to our expectations.
