The "do they mean us?" thread

We've had less managers than Man United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Palace, Everton, Man City, Newcastle, Southampton, Swansea, Watford, West Brom and West Ham since 2011 yet the media likes to make out that the City job is the least safe in the country.

Yes, there are a 65% of the Premiership with more "poisoned Chalice's"  than us....what a fcuking merry go round top level football management is.

You sure about that? Surely some of them have had the same number. Spurs off the top of my head have had the same number (4)

At least Rudkin wasn't initially keen on Shakespeare and wanted Wagner so in hindsight he was right about that.

The article says that Wagner wouldn't consider us while he was involved in the promotion fight, and that Shakespeare was engaged on June 8th.  I wonder whether we approached Wagner immediately after his play-off win or not. Just an intriguing gap in the article which doesn't reveal whether we actually made an offer to Wagner.

Pat Murohy is spitting his dummy out again on Twitter regarding our club and owner.

Just had a look. What a fool he is. Ultimately, the owners took us from an average Championship team to the Premier League title. They could have shagged the trophy for all I care.

The players, management staff, families, owners, board members, physios, kit men and probably the ****ing tea ladies had their chance to hold the trophy.

Leicester City the football club won the Premier League and Leicester City the football club celebrated it. Everybody had massive smiles on their faces all day.

Still, nice to see the majority is disagreeing with him and he's flapping in his replies.

From the guardian this morning. Glendenning.

Another demonstration of Leicester City player power?

The transformation in the performances of Leicester’s players following the dismissal of Claudio Ranieri last season was little short of remarkable, so it will be fascinating to see how the occupants of the dressing room react to the sacking of the Italian’s successor when Leicester visit Swansea. Craig Shakespeare was, by most accounts, very popular and the cabal of senior players who were – correctly or incorrectly – blamed for downing tools and getting Ranieri sacked remains largely intact. The righteous indignation with which various Leicester players greeted even the merest suggestion that they might not have been giving their all for the Italian was little short of comical and their reaction to the forced departure of a man they all liked could shed a little more light on who exactly it is that wields the power at Leicester. BG

He only turns up for LCFC pressers when there is some sort of scandal going on. Otherwise he's all about the West Midlands clubs.

Expect to hear his 'expert BBC opinion' all over the radio this weekend...

So sick of this patronising attitude towards us. Our average attendances and budget would place us firmly in the top half, so why should we be prepared to think it is okay if we get relegated, especially with a squad that won the league by 10 points 18 months ago? I don't hear the media saying West Ham or Southampton should be happy to be relegated. And they've never won the league. Why are we seen as a club on a par with Watford, Burnley, etc? Don't get it.

Love how he thinks relegation appears to be "just another thing", what these people don't realise is that people behind the scenes and not directly related to the football team lose their jobs in the wake of relegation. Think it was Aston Villa I read that employees of over 15 years and longer lost their jobs because of bunch of players didn't have the passion or desire to pull on the shirt and put a performance on!

Yet this moron thinks that we should accept relegation? What a total idiot!

This barrage of dross from the media could be a good thing. The fire in the belly which made us a force seems to have been extinguished somewhat, and everything just seems flat at the minute- on and off the pitch, and in the stands. Criticism may reignite it in the players.

Crisis does invariably bring about significant change, this with the sacking of Shakey will probably do us a world of good.

Or we could bomb altogether! Interested to see the players reactions though, they will either down tools altogether or play out of their skin.

Or they may just think F*** you and start just waving their medals about.

In fairness I looked at the date we appointed Nigel Pearson. But still... the point remains.

Don't think he works for the BBC now...his twitter describes him an 'ex bbc staffer'.

Leicester's owners seem to think that just because they won the league a couple of years ago, they have the divine right to be up there at the top of the table.

From another old mate in Lawrenson. Disagree with the sacking(s) all you want but stop this utter bollocks about us expecting to be in the top four. Tit.
