Adverts

And there is another but I can't find it on You Tube. I think it's Citroen where the 2 boys are dads.

 Couldn't watch that advert, it just made me crave cake so bad <_<

Are you sure you don't mean the Zafira/Meriva ads?

Just to upset you they had to throw the whole cake car away afterwards... they wanted to give to homeless/charity type thing but weren't allowed!

So advertising agents are the only artistic people on the planet that get paid?

Christ you make some stupid "points" sometimes.

At least they 'add value' in the world unlike some real artists!!

Just to stay on point:

WHAT!? That is ludicrous!! Sickening.

Supposedly from a Ustomer services bod at Skoda:

Due to the lighting used for the filming the cake started going bad straight away and had to be thrown. This is part of an email received from Skoda :

I can advise that once filming was completed, we would have liked to have offered the Fabia cake to local charities, schools and hospitals. Unfortunately, as the car had been under studio lights for several days, it may have posed a health and safety risk if eaten and we were therefore unable to do this.

Some goodies from the car were preserved and vacuum packed such as the marzipan wing-mirrors, chocolate speedometer, wafer engine fan and the Fabia badge icing, and will be held as mementoes of the production.

It was decided that as we were unable to donate the cake to charity, the cake was instead recycled. It was taken away and composted, so that it could return to the natural environment. The cake was taken to a place called the East London Community Recycling Project in Clapton. The project has been set up to provide local residents and members with quality compost for use on their gardens or allotments.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to contact us. I can assure you that your contact details will not be used other than to respond to your e-mail.

Yours sincerely,

Michael Canavan

Nice to see that they actually wanted to give it to people in need, fair play Skoda :appl:

Understandable that it had to be thrown though considering it had been out for days. Good of them to recycle it as well, could have easily just thrown it in the bin. Admirable work on Skoda's part.

Seriously? People like adverts?

the standard procedure is to go to the bog, get a drink or what ever else during ad breaks. You tolerate the ****ing things unless you've got one of those live TV pause bits like free-view+ or sky+ in which case you pause at the start of the program & then fast-forward through the ads.
